Hi, peachfive
Welcome to myLot. This maybe a personal question, still can I ask why are you sad?
You could entertain yourself with something try watching a movie that is funny this always cheers me up. Or try doing some chores to forget what your thinking. Don't take it to deep.

Your husband should not done that to you, if he had a problem then he should tell you about why he feels that way, not threaten and insult you. You could try to talk it out with your husband, know the reason why he acted like that, maybe there was just a misunderstanding.

i hope i can not take it too deep..
thanks for asking, i don't mind it..
why am i sad? because i had a big problem with my husband... i've been mentally abused... he always insults me and threatens me... i feel so small right now... all those hate words he told me, it just keeps torturing my mind... i don't know what to do anymore... i'm trying to be strong but i'm failing miserably...

I generally indulge in activities to keep my sadness away. I keep a very tight schedule and work relentlessly. Even spend a lot of my time with my friends. I tell my friends not to comment anything about my sad incidents even if those are positive thoughts.
I sleep a lot and do some yoga. Wake up in the morning with the thought : This is a new day and it will be a better one. Cheer up..Everybody has ups and downs in his/her life.

I find if I am sad then doing something to occupy my mind helps enormously. I started off by going out for a bike ride - only for 5 minutes around the block initially and now have taking up canoeing and joined a gym!
These things may seem like the last thing that you want to do when your feeling sad but trust me they will cheer you up. Even something simple like going for a walk can help - it is good to get a change of scenery.
If there is a specific reason that you are sad then you will need to address it, maybe talk to a close friend or family member about. Realise it isn't that bad after all and work out ways to solve it.

i can't remember when was the last time i cried, well if you don't want to cry although it is healthy for you to do so, just open up here whatever reason that makes you sad, i cannot guarantee you that all the sadness will be gone, but at least your attention will be diverted into something that is more beneficial to you and to all us here as well..

Yes, we all go through ups and downs in the course of the life time. One way which I find very helpful in coping with sadness is "meditation". Have you tried meditation ? That is an excelent way for mental as well as physical health. It is a way to get rid of mental sadness and stresses.

When i am super sad or angry, I watch funny videos to cheer me up or to get myself distracted away from what makes me feel sad.
