I certainly don't understand why.

I opened my email and had a mylot notification. It stated my answer had been deleted because the discussion was deleted.
The discussion was about your favorite cookie.
I don't understand why talking about chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies would be deleted.
Anyone else answered some simple discussion only to find we should not have answered the discussion?
Boggles my mind.

Hi Masihi: I think you are totally right. That's the best answer for this question. Mylot don't consider a poll type question as appropiate with the guidelines. I remember this same case happends to me when I open a discussion asking people wether they prefer Lady Gaga or Christina Aguilera musical style. Now I am more cautious.

Sure did not seem like a poll type question LOL
I actually liked the discussion. Made me want to go bake cookies that day.
Its a shame we can't share a special recipe passed down for generations.
I actually have a cookie recipe that is 4 generations old maybe older.
And my children teethed on these cookies.
They sure have a better taste than those cookies in the store that don't seem to have any taste at all with all the preservatives.
K now we did it I am gonna have to go make a batch today!
Mylotters bring the milk I will supply the cookies!
Hugggs to all and thanks for the answers!

I don't think this relates to your actual answer in the discussion but rather the topic discussion itself! I receive a few of these from time to time. I'm thinking that it probably relates to a similar discussion or something like that. As far as I'm aware there aren't allowed to be any repeat discussions. I guess the thing to do is to keep on posting away and there's much enjoyment to be had in that process.
I enjoy responding to discussions rather than actually creating them. Still, everyone has their own preferences. Andrew

I'm not sure, but I think it had something to do with it being like a survey. It seems like I saw something about that somewhere either in the guidelines or in a discussion about the guidelines. I have received the same notice various times now I stay away from discussions like that.

I have had a few discussions deleted and I am not sure why. It really isn't any kind of problem, just makes me wonder. I am sure there is something in the guidelines that I have missed, but I don't start to many discussions and don't feel the need to view them again.

This is an example of mylot being too strict with their guidelines. I am not aware of any guideline prohibiting a discussion involving cookies. But I assume that your particular disc might have violated a mylot guideline..I am not just sure on what clause. I'm perplexed and confused myself.

MyLot considers certain posts to be poll questions. And they delete them. It is hard to know Which posts will be deleted and which will remain. I once was ready to respond to a post on the Digest only to find it was deleted!
