Is the sight of money something that can get your heart racing? Or is this just something that you think of as needed in life. Why do you think you feel the way that you do towards money?

@kinglobster: Frankly, I would say it is at least for me...Money is something that you couldn't live without in this money-centered world, and with money you can get almost anything you want, just name it...
But perhaps greed for money is the biggest sin of all, so don't be too greedy for it...Just take money as catalyst in life, and not the driving force...

I completely agree with you on greed being one of the biggest evils in our world. I don't particularly feel that I have greed in my life. I could be wrong on this though. I have actually always lived a working poor style life, so I don't take much for granted. Perhaps this is a contributing factor to desiring money more than most people would though. This is difficult to know for sure.

This is certainly the case. It is rather difficult to be able to get away from the fact that we wouldn't even be talking about money if we didn't think about it. The key is to know how to contain your desire for money into a healthy and manageable way.

It is strange to think about how some people are never able to get enough money. I think that this is rather unfortunate. Greed can consume some people, and others can remain mostly untouched by it. I just think it is sad when I hear about the large pay gap that we have between people. It is always growing larger, and I hate to think about what that might mean in the future.

I believe that money makes money. Those rich people are making more and more money as they are able to invest. Whereas those people who are not so rich are not able to invest in anything and can only manage to get through every month with their income.
It is sad to think that the poor will always remain poor unless some miracles will happen for them.

I think its a little of both. I really love making money and I see it as something that I need in order to survive. Each day I go online hoping to make more money than the day before. I succeed sometimes and sometimes I make less it just depends on the day. I dont however think that money is everything. There are things in life that are way more important.

@oscar6: I would agree with that. Some things cannot be bought by any amount of money, like love. A billionaire can had everything he wants, but he cannot have everyone he wants. If someone doesn't like you, you can spend every single money you have and still if he doesn't like you, he doesn't like you. As simple as that.

I see it several ways, it is definitely needed as we cannot survive without any of it. If I come across an over-abundance of it I would be elated and excited as then I can save up for the rainy days.
I don't continually think of money, but certainly continue to think of the reasons why and how to make it, so that all my needs are met.

That is an interesting way to put it. I suppose that I have never really thought about it in this manner. I have to admit that I really do think about money quite a bit. Thinking about how money could add up for me does make me excited. I am not going to be one of these people who says that they don't think about money at all. I am skeptical that people like that could even exist. However, if I was to see a one dollar bill lying around, I don't think that I would freak out about it.

Honestly when I see money I get sick to my stomach. A close friend of mine was murdered for a very small amount of cash. People cheat steal and ruin lives for money and yet we can't live without it.
People like me would do anything for enough money to even eat dinner more than one or two nights a week and yet I hate it so so much. I hate the idea of working my tush off for something that has just repeatedly shown its evil roots.
sorry to be pessimistic but I really despise money.

This is a very interesting perspective. I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I don't think that I have ever met someone who quite has the same feelings towards money. I have to thank you so much for sharing your views. That may have been difficult for you to speak about, but I appreciate that you shared this with us.
