What are your thoughts on drinking/consuming tap water from the faucet?

I'm really picky when it comes to water, I'm not a fan of tap water therefore I prefer not to drink the water that comes from my kitchen sink or any other faucet. I also don't have a filter that attaches to my faucet, does that make the water taste differently? I really like Dasani bottled water.. Some brands of water do taste similar to others, which brands do you prefer?

I think it would depend on the location. In my hometown, it is okay to drink water from the tap water as the water has already been filttered. But in the place where I am currently staying, tap water is not safe so we have to buy distilled water.

Good point, I think location does have a lot to do with the tap water being safe enough to consume. The tap water in my city is safe enough to drink, although I prefer to drink bottled water.. It tastes better to me.

I don't think there is a problem drinking tap water. Depending on where you live, you might be able to go online and check what minerals and other things are in your water. I don't have a filter on the faucet. The water where I live is apparently pure enough to drink straight from the tap. But it has a strange taste if I do that. It tastes better if I collect some water and leave it for a couple of hours. My parents though always boil the water first. I think bottled water is a waste of money and all of those bottles are even more of a waste. Occasionally I buy bottled water--Poland Spring, Evian, Dasani, Deer Park. They all taste just like the boiled tap water, or the tap water I leave out.

I usually but purified water but if we don't have water I sometimes drink tap water. Lucky me, my stomach is now that sensitive. But, I sometimes buy the Wilkins brand.

i am selling Premier (pepsi) Distilled Water and VIVA (coke) Distilled Water.... i consumed drinking that when i have am suffering a fever only.... i just can't imagine that the tube outside our gate (from where my tap water runs) has a leaked... submerged in street sand.... meaning it's not so healthy, i just wonder of Chlorine can lessen the bacteria? if our tube line leaked, how about in the main line somewhere else? meaning to say, it's no so safe to drink tap water, but it must be boiled first... therefore, i have no trust in deep well drinking water... even thou it boiled for 3 times but still i have not trust.... especially deep well located in the heart of the city.....

Well I have no problem with drinking tap water. I grew up drinking from the faucet that never had a filter on it. I guess it is ok since i'm 20 now and im in good health and still drink from the faucet. I even fill some bottles up with water from the faucet and put it in the fridge so it can be cold.

Here in our place,we can drink from tap water provided it is filtered due to chlorine which is harmful to our health. Most drinking water can be buy from water station per 5 gallons esp here in metro cities. We have varieties as well...like distilled,pi water, mineral and many other process to purify drinking water. Welcome to mylot and have a good day
