My brother has been getting a bit.. well.. somewhat irritted with his body. When he saw that some red bumps are appearing... he thought maybe it was just a minor rash. But then after some time, he was thinking that maybe it's actually chickenpox. My parents advised him to go to the doctor of his university. And sadly, it was confirmed that he has chickenpox. We live together and that's the scary part. I might get infected as well. It's been 4 days after the appearance of his chickenpox that he consulted to the doctor. The thing is.. we are not vaccinated... those living with him. I'm very disturbed by it because I seriosuly don't want to get chickenpox because there will be scars that it'll leave. Not just that. But I will also have to be absent during my school days. I can't afford to miss a day because it's really important to me. Today I went to the clinic to have some vaccination. But the assistant said that the doctor is still out and there is no available vaccine in the clinic. Gosh! I couldn't find other clinics because my class schedule won't allow it. I needed to get back to the university for a presentation which my grades entirely depend on. Now.. I'm still not vaccinated and is living with my brother who has caught the chickenpox. What should I do? I don't want to get infected at all. Any advice? I'm wearing my jacket even inside and always applies alcohol because I really don't want ot get infected. Mylotters, any tips?

What age are you? If you are already an adult, less likely that it will infect you. But when you had chickenpox in your later years, the more painful it is and more tendency to scar. If you are just a minor, i suggest that you must get yourself infected now instead of acquiring it at older age. One more thing, if you already had a chickenpox, it can reoccur unlike others have said. But when it reoccur, it is already termed as shingles. The difference of shingles to chinckenpox is that in shingles, the vesicles/dumps you called, are much bigger but they are localized in one body part unlike chickenpox, rashes are smaller but appears in the whole body.

Chicken pox is highly contagious. You should drink a lot of water and take vitamins to boost your immune system. You should try to stay away from your brother to avoid being infected.
