There is a new show (well its been on for a couple months now) called extreme couponing. These people go into supermarkets and pay very little amounts for tons of groceries. I really love the show and enjoy watching it. What do you guys think about the show?

I enjoy watching it, but I think it has caused some people to start stealing coupons from the Sunday papers. I bought a paper a few weeks ago and there was supposed to be over 300.00 in coupons in it, but there were none. I heard of quite a few others that also bought papers with no coupons. People that steal make it harder on those of us that are honest. I'm afraid that stores will quit taking printable coupons, because some people are copying them, which is illegal.

I have only seen part of one episode of this show, however it definitely seems like a good show to watch. I'd love to be able to do that myself and might actually start watching a few episodes so that I can learn the ins and outs of the trade.

Extreme Coupons - Saving is always good
I love the show. We have it set on our tivo so if we arent home it will record. I use it as my motivation when it comes to clipping coupons. I haven't been able to do as good as them yet but maybe one day. My best so far is I rang up $86.40 and only had to pay $20.06. I've gotten a couple things free or under .25 cents. I will NOT be buying things I don't use and I will not spend hours on something just because it is free and it be something I won't use. There was this one lady on extreme couponing that bought couple of cases of cat treats and she didn't even own a cat. She said she got it becuase it was free. I'll be happy cutting my grovery bill in half or more...lol

We've watched the show a handful of times. While I appreciate these people just paying a few dollars or less for several hundred dollars of groceries, some of those items I have trouble seeing them realistically use. I saw one show where a lady bought 70+ plus bottles of hot sauce. I really liked the episode where the gal bought several boxes of cat food for free and said she was donating them all to the local cat rescue. Another gal was keeping what she needed and donating the rest to a local homeless shelter.

I do have to say that any time I see the show I am just amazed at how much some are willing to go. It's just amazing how much they can save, how they work on getting coupons, and organizing them. I never really knew that anyone could actually do things like that. I am not trying to say that it's wrong or that people shouldn't do it. After all, sometimes, you just need to do what you need to, in order to save some money, but I was never really aware at what rate some people were willing to go in order to save. That's what surprised me the most, I think, when I watched the few episodes that I saw.

I seem the show. During the promo, I thought the people was smart shoppers and when I seem the show, the people was buying more stuff then they could used. They had enough products at home to open their own store.

its interesting. some of these people do save money, donate to charity what they can't use etc but those people who shop three times a week and have thousands of dollars of stuff in their basements, kid's rooms, garages, etc are a little over the top.

I haven't seen that show as of yet.. But not one to watch a lot of TV.. Not sure hwo they people really do it thou.. Every time I use coupons I end up spending more than if I just used no coupons and just bought what I needed.. I tend to over buy when I do use coupons. Hmm wonder if I can watch it online... Most likey it's on TLC or a cable channel which I don't get anyways lol.

I was amazed the first time I saw the show. I wish I could be that organized and disciplined to do what they do. I think it takes the copperation of the rest of the family to pull it off and I know would never get that kind of copperation. I can't even get it to work online to make money. It is very time consuming but worth it in the long run. Also, you would have to have lots of storage space!

I think it is unrealistic to be able to buy so much groceries and not pay anything. I can't believe anyone would buy so much groceries at one time.

I enjoy watching the show because I've learned some things that I can personally do that will help me to save some money when I am shopping. However, I also have to say that there are things about the people on the show that I just don't understand. For example, I will never understand why people that don't have children yet have the need to keep tens of thousands of diapers in their garage for the future children that they might have. In addition to that, I don't see why all of these people don't donate the excesses that they have because there are a lot of people that could make good and immediate use of the items that extreme couponers are keeping in their stock piles.

I think it is a great show. I also think it has given a lot of people a lot of great ideas. I am starting to organize and use more coupons after watching the show. Several here have questioned what they need with all their products. It is my understanding they are stocking up for themselves plus being prepared for a disaster, which actually all should do. Then are are those who buy products they don't need or use or buy too many and give the extras away to charities and food banks. There is one guy who sends packages to our military. What a wonderful blessing that is.

I love the show. I kind of wish I could so something like that, but I don't think I'd be able to put in the effort. However I think it is quite excessive in some ways. I mean who really needs all of that stuff? Like the one who just has loads of toilet paper and keeps purchasing it.
