How much is enough school allowance for high school students?

Hello! Every year students ask for a raise in their school allowance, and I sometimes think that parents are giving more than enough money, because kids have so much savings, and can buy nice things from this. This allowance also takes toll on parents, especially those on budget. So, how much school allowance should parents give to their kids?

I myself hasn't received allowances when I was in high school aside for the amount that we need to pay for exams or contribution in school or in a particular clubs.Its because my mom used to prepare food to bring and our school is just nearby.But I think for the others who need to take a ride to go their school,they should have enough fare to go back home until the rest of the day from school. And i insist that they should have their enough snacks and lunches so that they don't need to ask for extra money.If their parents can't prepare them food,they can do that by themselves,which is so easy to do.
