I have been hating Snape since book one since he is one of the characters that made Harry's life miserable in Hogwarts. Having read the Deathly Hallows, it somehow changed my impression on him. (Beware: For those who has not read the book, this discussion may contain spoilers) How about you? What was your reaction upon reading more about Snape?

I think that Snape was truly a hero in disguise and that Dumbledore put him in a perfect position to help Harry 'succeed' (Even if he still hated Harry's guts because of his Dad)

yes, what he did for harry was truly heroic and especially when he gave his memory to harry, so sad though but he is one of the best characters in the book.

I really think that Snape's character was really written well. I really hated Snape at first but I've always thought that there's something more about him and I was right. For all those who didn't read the book but watched the movies, I think they'd be surprised. I'm really anticipating the last installment from this franchise movie.

i am excited too. i want to see how Alan Rickman(Snape) would be able to portray the Snape character who actually cried, loved and cared someone and joined the bad side just to protect the good side. it is just so sad how the character ended.

I also didn't like Snape at first, since I agree, he did make Harry's life and his friends miserable too, but he also helped them a few times.. So I grew to like him especially when I saw a bit of backstory about his life at Hogwarts, he was bullied and stuff.. Deep down he is a god person, even Dumbledore trusts him..

I adore Severus Snape! He is the most complex character in the series! He represents the power of love and redemption, plus, Alan Rickman is hot!

Severus Snape is the bravest man in Harry Potter films. Before I read the seventh book I hated Snape. When I read the last book I understands why Severus was so bad and why he don't like Harry Potter. Anything of this was be a lie. When Lord Voldemort killed him with Snape's spell Sectusempra and Naginny ate him I cry, because I feel sad. Now I think that the bravest man in Harry Potter series is Severus Snape.

I always like Snape as a character. I always liked him. I do think that he did add to the stories. Although, I have to admit that there were some things about Snape that left me wondering. So, there were moments when I did ask myself where he stood, and where I stood with regards to Snape, but I do still like him. I do think that he does add the the Harry Potter series.
