Hello mylotters..
This morning, I went to a mall to shoppe..I am already carrying bags because I started shopping..This guy approach me and ask me how much is this and that, I told him I am a customer..Then he walked away..Then after several minutes, an old lady ask me where is the whatever section, I told her that(I made an angry face and a sarcastic answer) I am a customer here, not a sales agent..I feel so irritated and my anger is at peak, I went home and ask my mother what's wrong with people..aahhhhhhhh..

It Feels Irritating When You Are Looking For A Tee Or Something To Buy And Someone Stands Near You And Asks-"How Much This Costs?"
Actually We Don Understand At That Moment What To Say And Instead Of Saying Anything To Them We Just Say-"Excuse Me,I Am Not A Salesman"
They Also Feel Embarrassed After Listening That And We Look After Ourselves And Think-"Are We Looking Like A Salesman!!!"
We Then Just Move On And Say To Friends "What's Wrong With Peoples These Days???"

That is sort of funny. I would probably ask "do you work here?" before I ask you where something is. I would probably get annoyed too if that kept happening to me. I hate stupid questions... no questions are really stupid.. but it can be stupid to ask questions of the wrong people! duh!

That's happened to me before a couple of times too. I don't know if I find that to be highly amusing, or highly agitating to say the very least. Still you would think that I would have a name tag or something, perhaps with the name of the store. You know like most people who tend to work in this place. Then again, never underestimate the brain deadness of certain people. Common sense is something that is truthfully an extremely lost art, one that has not been in abundance for quite some time.
Granted, often times, honest mistake and all of that thing. However, for some reason, the people who do this tend to be among the most chatty of people and not only the most chatty of people, but the most annoying of people anyway. That is just what's it does really seem to be. When I'm out, its really not social hour for me. I have things to buy, to get out of there, no time for chit-chat and people mistaking me as an employee of the store or just as someone that might know something, highly annoying.

That was a rather amusing experience martinshann. I consider it funny when people misjudge my position. But anyway, I kinda have to admit that it could be a little irritating BUT do not be too hard on those people. Just smile and correct them kindly.
Perhaps, maybe your attire whilst you are shopping is similar to those who are working in that establishment? That could be the reason why people perceived you as an employee there.
Happy day!

Funny story, this kind of thing already happened with me too, don't know if it was because of what I was wearing. It's really bad when this happen, if it was only one person to ask that's ok, but more than one it's pretty annoying.
