Gaddafi Defeats UN and Decomposes NATO

While Muammar Gaddafi is seen as a national tyrant (and the result of national tradition), Gaddafi is in fact a Freedom Fighter at International level. It is no secret that our world bullies are in Libya, as if against the Star Fleet Enterprise, because of oil and because perspective Gaddafi told them he will campaign to repudiate both the dollar and the euro as trading currency in Africa. While the war in Libya began as a civil unrest demanding Gaddafi's resignation, the war quickly became a conquest for Libya between Gaddafi and Western powers (who resent Gaddafi for having the audacity to govern his nation) as Western powers seized the opportunity and backed the rebels (not necessarily advocates of progress and prosperity in Libya). And, while the rebels and other Libyans are mainly concerned with the resignation of Gaddafi, Muammar Gaddafi sees a bigger threat for Libya - Western jingoes and imperialists out to plunder. And as long as the UN and NATO are propping the rebels, Muammar Gaddafi will fight to keep his Libya free of reins of noted Western bullies! Within the last few weeks and without the support of allied AU, Muammar Gaddafi has managed to successively defeat the UN and decompose NATO! This is astronomical and will forever be in my books as a legacy of Muammar Gaddafi! Muammar Gaddafi Defeats UN and Decomposes NATO! - http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110610/pl_nm/us_usa_nato

Remember W. Bush said "mission accomplished" about a year into 2003 invasion of Iraq and the war in Iraq is ongoing. I, too, believe that we will indeed have less wars were our self-declared world police just to leave other nations alone to manage their national businesses.

What utter nonsense. Gaddafi is at war with his own people, Nato intervened to stop him brutally slaughtering them and that is called compassion all the best urban

True that Gaddafi used force to suppress his people that rose against him after his announcement of repudiating the dollar and the euro drew the attention of Western forces. The rebel group took advantage of the rearing of the head of Western forces and Western forces took advantage of rebel group. These two groups with very different motives out against Gaddafi just took advantage of the moment. While I believe Gaddafi has had his time and ought to be out of public office, I do not condone Western bullies who have long sought to oust Gaddafi for not kissing their behind seizing the moment and attempting to dictate what they assume should happen in Libya. What the US, UN and NATO have done in Libya is outright dictatorship! My heart greatly rejoices at Muammar Gaddafi's bravery in striking back!

Urband, while Gaddafi, like several other African leaders, may appear a tyrant, this approach is the result of African tradition. I grew up as a child in an African nation and know that in most African homes, children and younger members of family do not have opinion - a practice that is constantly challenged by youths. The tyranny associated with African leaders is pure tradition that will only change as the African people amend their laws to specify deletion of such practices viv-a-vis the public. African tyranny is pure tradition. As per your little analogy: You are mistaken about the bully and bullied in this Libya situation. As history shows, the suppression, oppression and torture of Africans for century now is being perpetrated by Western forces who would like to see Africans beneath them. Muammar Gaddafi stood up, fought back good and has confounded our world self-declared police, and my heart is gladden and I celebrate the honor wrought to Africa by freedom fighter Muammar Gaddafi! And you forget that the Libyan rebels may not be for progress or individual prosperity as some fancy. As a matter of fact, some are already hinting, as did Muammar Gaddafi just before the US-led absurd assault on Libya, that the rebels are anything but democratic - http://allafrica.com/stories/201106141859.html

Imagine a school playground, a bully is torturing a bunch of little kids until their elder brothers turn up and put an end to it. Gaddafi is the bully, Western forces the elder brothers and the little kids the Libyan people all the best urban

Come on a two bit dictator who is hated by his people facing the most powerful nation in the world with the backing of the UN and NATO how could he hope to win? When the opposition is fighting a war not to win, but to make everyone like you. They don't like Gaddafi but they don't want ot offend him either. They want to support the leaders of the revolt but don't know who they are. They want a democratic government but don't know the politics of the people they are supporting. When one country supplies the military, a second supplies the leadership, a third supplies the rules, a fourth defines the mission and all groups work through two different groups that are controlled by committees that have no idea what they are fighting for. How can Gaddafi lose!

Bobmnu, this unfortunate situation in Libya would never have progressed to this stage had Libyans been left alone to handle their business. I know, as history shows, that people of developing nations have always been able to handle their oppressive governments in left alone.

Did you read the first paragraph of this it is talking of the United States pulling some funds from Nato which just so you no NATO is mad up of more than just one nation and Gaddafi already has a legacy of mass killings and keeping the riches of his nation in his hands he kills people and well I don't think we should be there with out Congress approving it. I am just wondering how do you think Gaddafi is a good person? I mean really he doesn't let libya be free to make their own choices he kills anyone that stands in his way the only reason this Rebel force even got started is because of Social Media.

Dark_joev, I read story and got message before posting link: "NATO risks 'collective military irrelevance' unless they bear more of the burden and boost military spending," says US secretary of defense Robert Gates. Gates was pleading for more support from NATO numbers! With all the Hi-Tech toys NATO stomped Libya with (as if up against the Star Fleet Enterprise), does it not make you wonder why Gates would have to be begging NATO members for more assistance?

And, Muammar Gaddafi is not the "demon" or "mad dog" he is portrayed as by Western nations and others. While a "tyrant" by national tradition, Gaddafi is more an iconoclast than most people would like to admit. You of course know that Gaddafi's bodyguards include females. Right? This is something you cannot say of almost any nation on Planet Earth! Did you know that there is 92.4% male literacy and 72% female literacy in Libya? I dare you to show me any Arab, African, developing (or developed) nation that can match this! His flaws notwithstanding, Muammar Gaddafi is not a bad guy; except, of course, to those who cannot easily manipulate Muammar Gaddafi.

He is warning NATO of the current situation in the United States with our Economy and Deficits may effect them because we supply the Weapons for which NATO operates their missions on and with budget cuts coming he is informing the NATO Member nations that they will have to step up to take place of the 75% that we fund NATO with. He isn't begging them for anything he is just stating the facts of what will happen in the near future trust me Libya will not be able to stand. And well I guess if you take away the not so good parts of any dictatorship then yeah everything is completely okay I think a few people are going to take issue with this like I don't know Germany. Yeah I think they will disagree with you or how about the People under the Rule of the USSR? I mean really Gaddafi and all the other Dictators in the World should take notice "liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth." George Washington He was wise to say it and well it is true just ask the people in Egypt or the other parts of the Middle East who has kicked a tyrant out.

If the dictator of Libya keeps up his slaughter of the population, they will eventually assassinate him. They WILL find a way, and more power to them. No piss-ant dictator of a minuscule country can take out the UN or NATO,or the rest of the Western World. He is a Piss-ant and has proved it by slaughtering the people of Libya for rebelling against the horrors he has done to him. They should curse his name and assassinate him. He will make a mistake and get caught. Get a grip with reality Net.

Adoniah, Muammar Gaddafi is not a dictator. While a possible tyrant the result of African tradition, Gaddafi is no dictator. Gaddafi is a perceptive man and after several unpleasant and unfair dealing with Westerners, the man simply felt he had to keep them at bay and believes everyone, for their well being, should do the same. Muammar Gaddafi simply reacted to Western crookedness and hypocrisy. Is it not said that once bitten, twice shy?

All I see in this case is that Muammar Gaddafi is a Freedom Fighter and US, UN and NATO are terrorists!

I'm trying to decide if you are being ironic or just delusional. The UN continues to pound away and NATO has already promised not to get involved in a post-Gaddafi occupation, blowing up your theory of Western imperialism. It is Gaddafi's nearly insane rule that has led to foreigners joining the fight against him. If he truly cared about Libya being free from outside influence, he would have created a government of the people.

Balthasar, you would not be making the statements you have made had you read and understood my post. And I think you underestimate just how much the US economy relies on oil and foreign resources - http://money.cnn.com/2011/04/27/pf/velshi_inflation.moneymag
