Yes, it's been 8 days since i took my leave of absence. I missed my work. I missed the traffic jam. 8 days is like a month... Though i visit the mall and do a lot of chores at home, still i missed the routine that i have been doing for many years. Well, i need rest.... maybe, i'll just take this as an opportunity to have a good rest after so many years of working. :)

It takes a bit of time to enjoy not going to work...but if I were you? I would enjoy my free time as much as I can! have fun, get together with friends, have a dinner party! redo your wardrobe, get a bunch of flowers to brighten your lounge room! and yes make this your opportunity to have a good deserved rest! and don't feel guilty I'm sure you deserve it. Have a great holiday!

Ugh I know how you feel! I just moved to New York and I'm looking for work. I sent out a lot of resumes and so far, no call for interviews. I'm getting super bored.
However, I'm looking to use my time to take classes. Specifically acting classes. Aside from gaining experience, I know I need to meet new people and make new friends.

Wow! That's a long time for a rest. But take the most of your leave, take your much needed rest and enjoy being free from the pressures at work.
I think, you find being at home boring, because you are not used to doing the chores. Maybe even when at home, i wouldn't be bored myself , if i were in your shoes.
I could plan all the things i have to do, like exercising , cooking , reading , watching TV and surfing the net.
However, i will certainly miss the laughter and fun i have at work with my office mates.

It's really depending to us people, especially if we don't have nothing to do at home.We usually get bored if we don't have nothing to do.I also missed the days that I am always out at home especially that my previous job requires a lot of travel and conversing other people. But now I am just at home, facing the computer whole day. It's a matter of planning somethings to do in life rather nothing to do at all.

You get used to the routing so much and I am pretty sure you're still on the process of accepting your "vacation".
But we all know that you're very excited for your baby to come to our world. Always take care.
Maybe a walk in the park during afternoons will help you ease the boredom. And mylot, too. Hope you'll give us updates. Always take care, Niza.

Wow! I guess it's something that takes a little bit time to get used to those stuff of things. I know the feeling when after a long time I've been working, when the break was on, it took a lot for me too to settle down to thinking that I didn't have anything to do for a whole couple of hours.
Don't worry about it, you'll get used to it and soon you'll find something to do and would enjoy your vacation. Perhaps you could try some hobbies, get in touch with friends and just stop and smell the flowers. I know it would be pretty boring soon, but there are a lot of things you could do on your spare time. Before you know it, you would be happy that you had time to rest. Though, if you'll truly be bored, perhaps trying a little business on the side to make you busy.

That is what I finally did. I took a leave of absence and never went back to work. I ended up getting an offer for an early retirement and I jumped at it since I could no longer work. You should take it as a opportunity to rest. You will fall into a routine and will probably be happy with it.

Hiya jasmin,
It can seem like the House is falling on top of you at first. So I hope you get to settle down and relax a while before starting back to work again.
The contrast is here that there are so many Holidays sometimes they are not enough for them (grin).
Oh they are used to chilling out on their Days off very easily.
But to be fair that is because they are used to it.
Have some nice restful Days jasmin.xxx

Well, it's good that you have 8 days off the work. Just enjoy it and regain your strength and motivation for your work. I am sure you can find enjoyment after years of working, like renewing your acquaintances with friends and relatives, Doing something that you long for a very long time when you were unable to do it when you had to work... etc.
