Are you able to do programming with out using internet. I think we as a programmer will be with out hands if there is no internet. May be logically we are strong but most of time we look for the building block online. Yes I think it is not possible now to program efficiently with out internet. What are your views

People wrote programs way back when without the internet. I could write you several programs that do not require the use of the internet. As convenient as it is, it isn't needed for every computer function... unless the program was for the internet, then it might be helpful to have while running a check on it.

Thanks for response. But I again missed the article while typing in word. Whatever in my view there are need of internet for getting help more than earlier to get the speedy and smarter development and better learning.

Of course it is possible to program without the Internet. I can't think of any language which needs an Internet connection (though I can think of may programs which do, of course). In fact ALL programs are written initially WITHOUT any access to the Internet. Implementation may require that they are installed and run from a server (either over a LAN or a WAN, such as the Internet is. Yes, of course, it is easier to find and download modules if you have an Internet connection but the Internet is NOT necessary (it would be just as possible, for example, to create one's own modules or to receive them on data storage devices - floppy disks, USB storage or CD/DVD ROM. When I learned to program, the Internet - or, certainly, the Worldwide Web - did not exist. We created our own modules or learned to use those given to us by our tutors. NOTHING has changed, basically. Even a browser is simply a local application which is designed to interpret HTML and other codes which can be as easily run on a standalone machine as downloaded from a network. Just because something like the Internet is readily available does not mean that it is essential!

Yes I can do programming but without help of internet is very difficult for me. Because I know what is my level of programming so I feel difficulty in programming. So I need help of internet and without help of internet it is very difficult for me. Because I am not perfect in programming. I don’t have experience in programming but I can do it.

To be a good programmer, you need to be strong and fluent in the programming languages, when you have all these, you probably do not need any other help at all. For me with the help of internet is actually just giving us some convenience to look for some idea, and that actually not a very good habit since you will be lazy to think to solve the problem after sometime. So, it is always better to solve the problem by yourself unless you have really no more idea to solve it.

Actually I have tried writing a program once even without getting help from the internet but I used a book instead. For more complex algorithms and codes, I usually seek out help from the internet. Yes we can do programming even without internet but most of the time we need to get some help. I have seen that professional programmers as well seek out some help from the internet especially for tasks that are new to them.
