The Philippines' fast growing BPO industry has turned the Asian nation into a major center for off shored information tech services.
What are your ideas over this mga Pinoys? I am actually working in a call center too and I totally agree with this article.

Yes, i saw it on Philippines news one time about the increasing BPO industry in the Philippines that is competing with India. This is good news to Philippine economy and to those students now that is graduating soon, and those young professional in the IT world, and even in non-IT courses, too. What i admire about Pinoys is that we can learn easily adapt to changing times, we are hard worker, we are flexible so that is why foreign companies are not outsourcing in the Philippines. Congratulations for landing on this job, i know there is a lot of space for you to grow in this kind of business.

Well, I am a beneficiary of this outsourcing boom but in a sense, it is the US companies who still profits from this. Remember that the concept of outsourcing is to create jobs outside the national economy for a cheaper labor. Even though it gives us jobs here, it might deplete our workforce for our country's industries. More people would prioritize and compete for a position within US companies and getting US accounts before Filipino ones.
Like any other issue, it has it's pro's and cons. Let's just hope the pro's are more beneficial to us rather than to foreign companies.
