starting discussions

All beginners go through this and even veterans sometimes do not get responses to their topics. You post what you feel is good and gradually you will get to like what you see. You can also respond to topics of others.

Since you are new here it will take sometime to make your presence felt. Don't limit yourself to a few friends only. If you expect to see many responses, feel free to request for friends as it is these friends who will get the first notifications when you start new discussions. And to establish your strong presence here you should respond to as many discussions as possible. People will reciprocate when they see you have supported them earlier. That is the way to gain more exposure here.

As you said making a discussion is easy one but your question is how this discussion will get the attention of the other here in mylot, here are a few things might be helped to you: 1.) Discussion Title (should be catchy in the eyes of other, little bit intrigue, unique and most of it not duplicated by other old title (need to check in the search engine) 2.) Make a good reputation, be friendly in your comments (polite), collect some friends around by asking request to be a friends why? (because if you are many friends here - your discussion will received them via notification 3.) Quality discussion, not just asking question which answerable by yes or no, be a little unique and intriguing.. 4.) If the above are having in your discussion, your discussion will role over in the dashboard of mylot page, if other seen that sure to you they will check and put a comments. 5.) After receiving comments or responses to your discussion see to it all the responders you responsed properly (not answering just thanks and welcome), tried to make the discussion to be furtherance for asking question, not accepting the ideas and others. then expect back and forth responses is on.. These are a few ways I hope helps to you....

welcome pahak627. I have started a discussion under "Mylot" interest. Please read that. Apart from this if we go through previous discussions under mylot category probably we may follow fully the guidelines. Getting attention - depends on the topic, presentation and familiarity of the topic for other mylotters. have an excellent day.

I think as long as your topic is interesting and can catch peoples attention,you don't have any problems about it.It's hard if you did'nt think of any and nothing to post in the discussion.I think it's really normal to feel that way but later on if you can start a topic and other people get to respond to it, you will be surprised on what will happen because you never expect that other people will respond to it even if u think your discussion is really not that interesting.Just be positive on the discussion you want to express so that people will be more interested of the topic.

i feel like some confusion about Starting discussion.but i never start a discussion ,i will do as possible as.I am interested on technologies side discussion.Here most of the mylotters discussing on the other than that.Any way after raising at least one discussion,i will talk to you later.

I know that it is really tough to think up a really good discussion that other Mylot members would really like to reply to. I just think all you need is to think up an interesting discussion about a topic. Then when other people read it they are interested then they are more likely to respond to it and give you their insight. I find it really tough to think up discussions so I just reply.

We're here not just to start a discussion and gain more responds.we have to respond back to members who gives comments/responds to the said discussion in order to earn.This is an inter active site giving opinions or experiences members have encounter regarding the topic you initiated.I mean quality responses/comments in order to be merited.

The best way to gather responses is to make friends with other members here in mylot. By that, your posts in everyday will be seen by them and if it catches their attentiion, they would read it and post their comment. another thing is to make a good title for your discussion. and also choosing a topic wisely... some people would prefer technical discussions rather than talk about relationships daily struggles of members here in mylot. some would also be comfortable to talk about beliefs and religion. some are only interested in earning money and join discussions where they could get information on legitimate and paying sites online...
