I am currently saving to travel abroad next year. I know, it is still months before 2012. But since I'm not paid that much, I really have to save in order to travel abroad. I am contemplating either to go to Singapore or Seoul, South Korea. I'm researching as much as I could to make the right choice. I can go to either country. But, if I choose Singapore for next year, I might be able to go to Seoul in 2013. And that would require me a lot of saving 9again) and a lot of waiting (again).. Maybe I should just decide when I have completely saved my money... Anyone of you guys have been to either country. share me your thought or advice.. :)

i reco Seoul becoz there is so many places to explore and enjoy compared to SG. I went there last Holy Week and the weather was so nice coz its the start of the Spring which is the Cherry Blossom Festival...and one more things for the budgetary cost its only around US$350 all in , airfare, hostel accomodation and pocket money. I have a discussion "Filipinos Travelling Seoul South Korea" ..I have some details there that u might be interested

I have been to both countries. Personally, I prefer Seoul over Singapore. I enjoyed my time in Seoul more than Singapore. I loved Seoul's tourist attractions and sightseeing more. Shopping in Seoul is also way better than Singapore. But when it comes to food, I love them both. I'd rather go back to Seoul than Singapore within the next five years.

Good luck with saving to visit South Korea or Singapore. I haven't yet been to South Korea however I have visited Singapore three times. I love it there because it is hot all year round, there are interesting sights and fantastic experiences. I combined Singapore with Sumatra which was very cheap and lovely Malaysia. I suggest you visit one of those countries in 2012 and the other country in 2013. I booked a flight to Mexico but due to a hurricane it got canceled. I went to the Maldives to make up for that loss in 2005. Guess what in 2006 I went to Mexico. On that trip I combined it with Belize and Guatemala. So I know how it feels to want to go to two different places. So doing both is best like you are thinking. It takes time to save money but the result is worth it

I have been to Singapore many times. To Seoul, only at the international airport, transitting on the way from Vancouver to Bangkok. I do know, Seoul is a very beautiful city too. I have seen many beautiful photos of different places in the city. You will enjoy visiting Singapore very much I am sure. I used to stay at the hotels along Orchard Road, the business core of the city, nice hotels, huge shopping malls, beautiful highrise buildings, nice restaurants.
