Umm, call me a cynic but I'd say that's a normal amount of generosity. If he'd given the majority or all of it to charity, yeah - that would be exceptional. It's the old story of who gives more: someone who donates $100k when he has $5 million or someone who gives $20 when they only have $100?
It's a good thing, of course, but nothing to shout about in my opinion. But then maybe I expect everyone to be generous.

Hi Spike, U sound cold man, the issue is just not about the money, it's what he was going to do with the money if he had not given a part of it away,the guy himself needs help but yet he still holds a heart that can change a life of a person he has never or will never know...

He has a big heart,and pure good heart that directs him to do such kindness to less fortunate ones.
I am touched how he feels about other people when in fact he can use all the money for himself due to his illness.
But he never think about himself alone...this only proves that one can be so selfless for the benefit of more needy people.
