It's hard to budget when the money is too small. I just admire people who would be able to let the ends meet even in a meager salary. It is just really hard for me. How can you do it? Do you have any idea on how to live in a budget? How to overcome not to be in debt? I would appreciate any ideas you can share regarding this.

I think if you can overcome the urge to buy whatever you desire. Not eating out is also hard for some people to stop doing. This is why I can't stick to my budget. I always take out a certain amount of money saying "This will last me 2 weeks" and in one week it is gone because I couldn't stop myself from buying certain things.

hahaha that is really hard to control when you had the money even if that money is not suppose to spend for that purpose but when you are there already, it's hard to control eating outside specially if you have kid with you who keeps on complaining that she is hungry. Maybe better stay home. hahahah

Hi! :) I know some people are like to eat outside at a foodcourt, mall, restaurant, etc. The fact is, eating foods which processed in our own kitchen is the best and the most healthy foods. thats what i read in a book. The food we eat in restaurants or some place like that is processed way too much, to make it taste delicious. Too much oil, too much salt, too much MSG, too much sweetener, and sometimes overcook, and so on..you know, things like that. I do not want to sound like a textbook, but i think that is the fact people should know. We pay much for something which is not good for our health. But that is our choice.. :)

well for those people, they really don't have any other choice but to budget. i would advise that you make a plan how you'll ever divide your incoming money. write it on a pad, it would help. you could even use different envelops if you want to. plan ahead where you're going to spend money. and be sure to have enough discipline and self-control to stick to that plan. though this may not be totally effective, and though this may not be the only way, it is certain that it would greatly affect you financially.

This is really hard but some people were able to do it. I know of a lady from church who was able to save half of her grocery budget by using coupons. Am not good at that. I ask her where she got the coupons, she said in magazines and other promo. Another lady said, she always made everything from scratch. She can make left overs into something else that taste good for her family. She avoids buying things which she thinks she can find it free somewhere else. She is really good at that. She is thrifty and a wise spender. I hope I can be like her too.

Humm well it is certainly hard to budget when you have a small amount of money but it is not impossible, Regarding your budgeting issue OK for example you have about $100 dollars for two week you probably have to budget and maintain your expenses in such a way that it should reach with 2 weeks. Now as the prices of commodities are increasing there is nothing cheap in this world everyday there are hikes in certain areas of commodities in such situation you have to sacrifice your spending and be cope up with your buying which you have made earlier this can probably help you in budgeting and debt thank you.

Budgeting is a complicated thing. You need to take note of your daily expenses in order for you to know how much you'll be saving up. You also need tremendous self control because saving money really requires sacrifice.

Oh, i feel the same way but I'm trying my very best to budget my salary. I noted everything i bought even cents. I made a list/calendar for my everyday expenses so i could balance my daily budget. It's so effective for i always find ways to save for i can see what i spent for my money. And i keep away myself from shopping!

It's obviously easier when you make more money - the years where we made more money were a lot more comfortable. A lot of it is just keeping to basics and not spending money, which is easier said than done. We cut back on food and ate a lot of vegetarian meals. We worked extra jobs on the weekends. We go play tennis on the outdoor courts (free) instead of doing something that costs money. It all adds up.

A lot of people just don't have a choice really. You need to just do it and stick to it. Plan money for everything, and make sure that you're not overspending. Budget for what you need, such as food, bills, rent, and such. Make sure that you're money is going towards those things first. Try not to eat out as much. When doing your groceries, make a list before and only get what's on your list.

I am having trouble budgeting at the moment also, as I have had a few unplanned expenses in the last couple of weeks meaning that, although I only got paid last week, I now only have $100 remaining for the rest of the month which probably won't even last filling my car up with petrol. But I guess that I will just have to stop going out quite as much and try to stay in and conserve the few dollars that I do have left for the rest of the month. Typically, I have been invited to a lot of parties over the next couple of weeks and I know that it is unlucky that I won't be able to go, but you can't just magic money out of the sky unfortunately.

Hi celestial052506! :) It is hard, but still can do. Right? :) start with positive thinking, thats what my coach always said. I suggest you to read Robert T. Kiyosaki's book. I read that book and got some kind of enlightment in my financial area. Most people, when they do budgeting, plan the money for their outcome first, where the money goes out to daily need, taxes, etc. Then, they manage to save what is left from their income, which is just a little or nothing left. So, it is not hard wondering why most of people does not have much in their savings.. Mr. Kiyosaki said in his book, that we should save some money first from our income to our savings or our investments (which is better than savings), then manage what is left for our life's cost. If the money is not enough, we should think how to earn more money, what can we do to have more money. Or, we could just cut our unnecessary outcome. Think wisely what we really need and what we just want to have. Hope that can help you..! :) Have a great day!
