Do you select best response for discussions you have started?

hi carsocmaguinsay we select best response to honor a fellow mylotter. we do not get paid for getting best respose its just a nice gestture on the part of a fellow mylotter.the mylotter doing the resolving of un resolved discussions does get paid for his posts of cros..

Selecting Best Response has no earning benefit to either person but rating responses DOES help the person rated. Read more about the Discussion Rating System in the FAQs. Everyone varies in how they give BR. Some people don't give a BR at all if they think that several people have given equally good responses. It is sensible to leave giving a best response for some time - some of my discussions are still waiting after many months! Allow AT LEAST a week, possibly longer, before giving a Best Response and at least give a discussion time to collect several responses. If a discussion has only one response, it is not really relevant to give BR (even if the response is excellent).

Although we don't earn from it I think we should choose a best response on our discussions as much as possible to give credit for the efforts of those who respond to our discussions.

I do like to select the best response eventually, as it allows those who receive a "best response" the chance to know that you really do appreciate them taking the time to respond to your discussions. However, I will usually not choose it until people have stopped responding, because if I had already chosen a best response people would be much less likely to respond as they might not think that there is any need now for them to respond to the discussion.

Yes it has to be done or else the discussion keeps appearing under unresolved discussions, i wait for about 3 days, if there is only one, i mark that as best, it is a question of selection choice, the one i mark as best, may not appear as best to others.. Definitely i always select best response in each discussion but it always takes time as it depends if i get minimum 10~12 responses i select best of all responses & if the number of responses i got is less than i wait for few days to see if i get more responses. If after few days also i don't get more responses then i select the BR from those responses only.
