It's Father's Day on June 19, 2011. Based on wikipedia, Father's Day is a celebration of fathers inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother's Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting. This coming sunday, we will be celebrating the first Father's Day of my hubby. As a loving wife, what should I do to make this day a very special and memorable day, without spending so much money? I would love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks for reminding me angelo! It had slipped my mind that Father's Day is nearly hear. I'll definitely give me Dad a call. Anyway, as for your treat to your husband, what about a special Family Dinner Date - just the three of you guys.

Yes, I live in the Philippines. What I like about Blue Magic is that they posts the upcoming events. For them, maybe it is marketing strategy. But it helped me a lot, I was able to remember special occasions like Father's Day. We had a great day last Sunday. :)

Honestly, I almost forgot the Father's Day. It is only the signage in Blue Magic store that reminded me of that special day. I love your suggestion. We will be having a special family dinner date this coming sunday. How I wish, my little angelo will be able to eat with us. He is only three months, so he's not allowed to eat solid foods. Don't worry baby angelo, while daddy and mommy are eating, you will be drinking your milk via feeding bottle. :)

We don't celebrate fathers day until September, here in Australia. We usually cook a nice breakfast, the kids love helping... usually I buy him new clothes or something simple like a model car he likes something collectible.. the first fathers day will be special in its self without the gift just having your child is the best gift....
My partners 2nd fathers day gift was a daughter born, he didnt want anything eles...

Aside from preparing his favorite food and giving him hug and kisses, I can say that the best gift is our baby angelo. I sacrificed a lot in order to have a baby. I survived and enjoyed the bed rest just to be sure that my baby is safe.... I am thankful to God because He gave us a little bundle of joy. I am sure that my husband appreciated all my effort :)

Yes, I will cook his favorite pasta on sunday. I will apply what you suggest, I will give him a sweet kiss on behalf of our son angelo. And in return, I'll ask him to hug and kiss baby angelo. I believe that hugs and kisses are simple, yet effective way, of expressing how we feel. Bringing two individuals closer together, by wrapping them in the warmth blanket of love, is what kisses and hugs do. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Hi angelo315.
This Sunday is one of the most special day of father's in the whole world. I would probably suggest you to of course give a warm hug and a kiss with a greeting. Then if you want to spend that day at home just do something to make him feel that he is special for that day. Cook for him then eat together. Enjoy that day together to make him feel that he is special on that day.
Have a good day.

Hi janefatima. That's what I did. I gave him hug and kisses. We spent the whole day together at home. We ate together. Since our baby is only four months, we just stand beside his crib, we talked to him, and in return, he smiled at us. What a wonderful life. :)
