No, I don't think so. Because in a little while, a newer system will come out, and the price will drop way down. Just like the PS2, it was a big craze for awhile...now you can buy them cheap too.

No video game system to me is worth that much money and would rather spend that money on a new computer or a down payment for a new car. I will wait til the price goes down or not get it at all. I wonder what Playstation 4 will cost if that happens in the future (maybe a $1000)?

I think the price is inflated right now due to Christmas just being around the corner. They know it will sell at that price right now before the holidays. I expect the price to drop after the holidays and the hype is over.

From what I heard, the ps3 is going to be a great console. However, I don't see the point in buying it right now when there are so few games for it. I might buy one after about a year or so. By then, the console might get a little less expensive and there will be more games for it.
