I don't believe with what you said. Some people are just conscious sometimes maybe because the don't have better education. And maybe some are posting those one like what you've said how to make money in MYLOT. Maybe they're new comers and we need to understand them. Well, you do have your point of view and i respect it. :)

I think you misinterpret what Neededhope said. If you are on Mylot, you need to be able to read English anyway to make discussions, so if you can read English you should also be reading the FAQs. Making discussions on stuff that are covered in the FAQs is redundant...It's not necessary to make them. You just need to read the FAQs to find out that info.. not make a discussion about it to be told what you can read already in the rules. Also I think I remember a few mylot veterans say that we don't even make anything on discussions that are covered in the FAQs.

I see them everyday & no, you're not alone. I can make up a list that will go on & on from my own experiences, as you might as well. I'll list few & see if you have ran into any of these... (1) My main job is selling appliances at a retail store. A middle aged woman walked in one day & goes, "Do you have electric dryers? You know, the kind that has to be plugged in?" I said, "Nope!!! All the electric dryers we sell run off of batteries...!!!" (2) I used to sell cell phones when I was younger. Every so often, I see people that will put their cell phones to their ear before start dialing... Finally, I asked one of them, "What are you listening for?" And the man says, "dial tone!!" - Yes, these people do exist, as rare as they may be... (3) I have a part time job as a translator. I speak Korean. Some guy asked me, "what language do you speak?" I said, "Korean." He goes, "Say something in Korean." So I say "hello" in Korean. Then he goes, "Wow... That sounded really interesting. Was that Korean?" I said, "Nope!!! That was Italian!!!" (4) I was actually there when this happened. Too stupid to make this up. I was in line at the grocery store. Woman in front of me says to cashier, "There was a sign in front of these cereals that said buy one get one free. Do I have to buy 2 to get the second one for free?" I saw cashier turn around & walk away for few seconds then comes back with tears in her eyes. I guess she was laughing too hard that it made her cry. (5) Same grocery store, about 3 weeks later. It happened in bakery section. I saw a girl behind the bakery counter pick up the phone & answers, "bakery...!!!" then a pause for a second & goes, "yes, this is bakery." Did the person on the other line ask her if it was "bakery" section after she answered the phone "BAKERY!!!!!"? (6) "How much is this?" "17 dollars" "really?" "No, not really... I just felt like saying 17 dollars because it sounded like a nice number..." (7) Back to retail store I work. There was power outage about a year ago. We put a sign on the front door that said, "Due to power outage, store is closed till further notice." For about 3 hours, I saw people walk up to the door, pauses, reads the sign, then starts pulling on the door. "STORE CLOSED"!!! List goes on & on... (8) Place I work closes at 10 pm during summer. As people finish their shift & starts to leave the store, somebody pulls up & says, "are you guys closing?" So one of the co-workers say, "yes. Just closed." And without fail, they ask, "What time do you guys close?" I heard one of the co-worker say once "We just closed so..... what time is it now?"

WOW I truly am not the only one lol. And I will have to admit I think I'm partly an idiot from your first post. Yes I'm guilty of asking the cashier if you have to get two if you buy one to get one free. Some stores do let you buy one for half off. Wait.. maybe that was a blond moment you said you have to buy two to get the second free oh yea that's sooo blond lol.. Also you are truly right on so many things. I'm glad you have an understanding boss for some of the things you told people.. I'd be the one thinkin it and tryin not to say anything to them of what I wanna say lol. Thank you for sharing thou you've truy made me smile :D

Ha ha ha...!!! Believe it or not, my boss is worse than I am. He's the real sarcastic one. It's only by a miracle that the business hasn't been sued yet. When both of us are on the sales floor, it's a massacre. I swear only reason I show up to work is for my own amusement anymore. I just can't help but to laugh hysterically when I get home from work. Ironically, I wake up in cold sweat thinking that the people who are running this country aren't that much brighter than people I spoke of earlier. Don't get me wrong. Everybody deserves a moment of flaming insanity but these happens on daily basis & that's what scares me. I see this everyday & you think I should know better but I'm no immune to this either, to be honest. I'm going back about 9 years ago. I went to a car dealership & a salesman came up & said, "Can I help you?" And without thinking twice, I said, "Yeah, I'm here to buy a car..." Salesman got this funny look on his face then turns to me & says, "That's good cause for a moment there, I thought you were here to buy your grocery for the week..." I made sure he stuck with me & I bought a car that day from him... Anybody who had enough ba**s to put me in my place at my darkest moment in my life, deserves to get paid... I guess we all make our fair share of blunders. But I think if enough of us have common sense to realize when we make mistakes & can even laugh at ourselves for them, I guess we'll turn out ok...

I so agree. There is one on here in practicular that drives me up pretty bad. I thought it was a guy but actually is a female about my age. I was shocked! She has a discussion up right now about Mylot and some very negative stuff. She thinks our discussions are being used for monetory gain in many different arenas. SO WHAT! I really dislike members who start discussions like this. I enjoy Mylot and thank my lucky stars for it being in existence. I hate it when people bring up things that could cause waves. Doesn't make me happy. I think alot of times people just don't think before posting something. And I also think they really don't care. So many people today are selfish and self serving. It is very sad. NO, YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!

I agree with you SO What if they use it for there advantage.. Honestly if they wanted to use your words they still have to site where they received the info and even possibly inform you of them doing so. Anyways it's fun meeting people sometimes. And it's a pretty easy way to make a few cents just for chating with others. I"m just getting sick of some people's stupid questions and startings.. It's truly annoying.

I definitely agree. There's one user here who posted a discussion with blunt grammar and horribly incorrect usage of words. I mean, he posted there instead of they're, are instead of our, and some other stupid redundancy he might have overlooked. Besides that, the discussion sounds stupid. I mean, yeah, there are some who thinks they're better than others here but, for Christ's sake, we're not even getting paid dissing other people's discussions so what gives? Right? Stupid, downright stupi.

Totally there are many rights are idiots these days and nobody can believe. I registered a year ago, but has little time to go, but recently I thought of My lot and started digging for interesting topics and some example in giving medical advice and is very interesting here, find interesting information and help people on board. You really should not pay attention to those people for me are not people. And I am glad that there are people like you to think positively.

Yes, I have seen it on here and many other Social Networking sites I have ever dealt with the whole time I have been online. You see it all the time on Chat sites as well, or in person, via the phone, etc. It does make you wonder sometimes where there manners are and who really taught them to be like this? Would be nice if they could Stop and think before they act to keep many heartaches later from coming.

hehe of course not. i think we all go through a day that our brains are not fully functioning. we sort of like set ourselves we will only go this far as far as the day is concerned and anything after that our mind and logical thinking or maybe even iq would shut down. haha =) mayybe this happened to the person you encountered. im sure the person is not as stupid as you think. perhaps he is just preoccupied with other things, you know?

Oh yeah! In fact, I may have been guilty of some stupid questions myself once in a while. But there are just some discussions in here that need not be posted if they only read the FAQ's. I just hope that most of them get their answers quick before they get bashed, or lose interest in the site.

Sadly that is really the nature of life, I think. There are a lot of people who don't seem to be all there, for lack of a better term. There are a lot of times where I just want to bang my head against the wall with some of the people that I come across in the world today. On the Internet, yeah I have run across those people on the Internet, just like I have run across them in real life. Many of them do in fact to see around every corner, in many ways. There are a lot of people who just make you want to scream. Yet, in many ways I have gotten used to it I think. Of course dealing with a number of them in a short period of time, they can really make you scream in frustration in many ways. That is going to really wear on the mind and cause a great deal of insanity. Dealing with people in public, on the Internet, at the job, at school, on the road, or just hearing about them on the news, even if I would never meet some of those people in my life. And yes there are a few on this website, but I think I have a sense a lot of the time to really avoid them. With a website this size, there are bound to be some people like that. Just like there are throughout the world.

Well, the situation really cannot be helped. All people are welcome here in mylot and they have the freedom to express, participate and start discussions. I guess for some people, it would really take a lot of patience and understanding for some posts and the discussion starters themselves. But I will admit that there are times when I would be guilty of chuckling to full blown laughter when I see some particular discussions. But I try to hold my composure in check. Most of the time, I even don't bother to participate in the discussion before I reply something that can offend anyone. I just thank that at least a discussion made me laugh even though it would be impossible to understand and reply to.

I've seen discussions that have made me laugh and I would laugh out loud if they are truly like that. But I find discussions that I cannot understand or figure out what the hell there saying that drives me nuts. When I see them I try to just not read it and leave and find another discussion. But honestly I seem to find another discussion right after that one another one just like it... Just frustrating that's all.

I'm new here and even I agree with you. Some of the discussions I have read make me wonder what is going on in their heads lol! But as you said you get these people everywhere! x

There are so many people here on this site and on Facebook and others that just want to say something, and don't think about how it sounds. Yes, it is idiotic to ask certain questions about mylot that can be answered in the FAQs. Like... is Mylot a real money making site or is it a scam? Well... duh? No one would be here if it were a scam. There are other discussions that may ask questions about mylot, but at the same time they are asking in a way to make a discussion, not just to find out a specific answer... like finding out what others do.
