Well it is summer time again. That time when the pale white skin has got to go and the swimsuit body needs to be revised.
I am always looking for ways to become healthier and eat right and by right I mean healthy.
I in my quest for living a better healthier life started my own little patio garden.I like most, do not have alot of space to plant a garden.I have decided that planting in pots can be just as beneficial just as well as a garden.I a
have about 5 tomatoe plants in pot turning red as we speak.I also started some bell peppers and cayenne peppers in pots.I am looking forward to my bounty of goodness and my start of a healthier lifestyle. Not only are the veggies healthy, tending them helps out with burning some calories not to mention getting out and enjoying the fresh air.
As for my pale white skin.Taking care of those veggies helps me to get a little sun outside but not too much.I also use those lotions with a touch of color to get my skin glowing so I do not blind anyone with my white skin come swimsuit season tme.
I would love to hear how some of your gardens are going along with lifestyle choices for healthier living..any tips are also welcome.Happy gardening!

I love my garden and especially being able to grow foods to feed us, it feels so good eating food that you have planted and nurtured, and of course it is so healthier.
I have just been out to pick some lovely fresh raspberries for lunch and am planning on digging up some potatoes later for dinner.
I am currently growing potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, raspberries, strawberries, pears, apples and a whole host of herbs.

I wish I had room to grow my own, I would love to grow some fresh herbs in the kitchen even, I think food tastes so much better when it is fresh and homemade! I often go to the farmer's market or try to find special fruits and veggies that are in season so that I am always adding fresh produce with every meal. Congrats on your garden, sounds like it is tasty and keeping you fit!

I think that growing your own garden is one of the best things someone can do for themselves. (& for others)Our ancestors did it...why can't we?! You chose right with tomatoes & peppers! They are my favorite thing to grow. I have a tiny patio balcony with very little sun :(- unfortunately, I have ruined many plants due to the fact that i get very little sun, and when i do it's late afternoon. my poor plants never got a chance to grow! Right now i have 1 tomato plant that i bring in in the morning & put grow lites on him. I'm getting fruit on it! i'm so excited & it's about 3 feet tall. when i do have sun(which is blocked by a huge tree out front) i take him outside for real light. I am very fortunate though, that i can at least grow plants that don't require direct/ hot sun. I am successful at lettuce and herbs! You should add a couple lettuce plants- they don't take up room, grow quick & will be delicious with your tomatoes!
