He is my opposite

Every time my partner and I have an argument, he always tell me that he is my opposite that's why both of us got attracted to each other. I really want to believe in him but sometimes I think it's just a coincidence like I am the organized one while he is unorganized. Like he loves to eat while I don't, like he loves meat while I am a vegetarian. Those simple things proves me that he is really destined for me but sometimes I am not convince because I was expecting someone who is somewhat like me; organized, religious, has the same taste of food just like me, someone who loves reading books etc, but it came out that the man I have now is really my opposite. How about you, is your partner your opposite? And do you think opposites are better when together?

hi its similar here. I always wanted a Catholic booklover as a partner and who got interested in me and married me almost 6 years ago? A protestant guy who will read books only if they are computer books or cook books and who is my opposite in many other areas and facets of life.

really seems to be true that opposites attract. We get on great with each other the only thing I told him from the beginning was that I would never leave the church as I was reconciled shortly before we met.

Well now i'm single but the girl i love (blah its complicated and one sided now but who cares ) Is pretty much the opposite of me .
Its like you said : I love eating , i hate meat , i dont read books and other simple things like that witch she is the opposite . But i think being the same will be kind of .... boring :) There is the love we share that i think is the only thing enough to be the common thing between us :D (nah i'm too lovely dovely person :D )
But anyway i think different is normal and good :)

I also had a relationship with someone just like me and it worked so well but he cheated that's why but if I were to compare my relationship with him before and with my current relationship, I prefer my past relationship since we seldom argue and we talked things/everything easily unlike today, we always end up arguing but I feel great that I am learning after every argument.

It is famous that opposites do indeed attract: and this is especially true in romantic relationships where mystery is so important. It's like a person knows what they are like, and is fascinated and irresistibly drawn to qualities they cannot quite understand in another. Of course, the very things that draw a person to another can cause tension at times. A lot of understanding and compromise may be necessary to preserve the special nature of the relationship.

yeah, compromise is one key for a lasting relationship.
