Today I am giving only responses no discussion is started. Friend I think every mylotter will start discussion at least once in a day. But I am not doing this from two days.
So friend share your views you are also doing this sometime or you are write discussion at least once in a day with your responses.
It is necessary to put discussion or may be give only response. what you think share your valuable views.

I start at the most one disussion a week but it is usually more like one a month.
I spend every day here responding and commenting on discussions started by others and I love the back and forth chains which form with endless comments!
If you are worried about not earning if you don't start many, I reach payout every month without starting many at all.

I am doing exactly that right now. I'm not creating my own discussion as of the moment. I noticed that my post number (the one after my name enclosed ion a parenthesis) doesn't increase whenever I comment on my own discussions. I am gunning for my 100th post at the moment to be able to have my own star now. That is why I am just responding to different discussion here in myLot. Well, there is nothing wrong with just puttin up responses instead of creating topics. As long as you contribute to the myLot community and participate in meaningful discussion myLot will reward you. The advantage of having your own topic is that you have the background to start that kind of topic which makes you useful for that topic. Hence, you can share many ideas and views because surely that topic is part of your interest. However, in creating threads for new topic, please try to check for duplicity. I can see a lot of topics here which are already discussed but are still spawning like mushroom as new topics.
Just go with the flow on how you feel for the day. Do you feel creative enough to start a new topic or do you feel confident enough to challenge and show your views regarding a topic. Either way is good interaction.
Happy Mylotting!

Good to see that "L" already vanished, mysD! Now I got an achievement reaching 100 posts! I am now entering the next challenge of reaching 200 and the emoticons will be mine! Haha! It's a good thing I got much time today to actually discuss in here. Thanks to all the discussion topics created by myLotters!
Off topic: I got a question! Is it possible to get rewards from using myLot search engine twice in a day? Just curious about that. I don't want to create a "noobish" thread for this one. Haha!

Hi surekha~
It is fine if you can't make it at all~ I rarely start discussions as I do enjoy responding and commenting back~I must say it is much more fun than starting the new one. I will only start new discussion if I have something to share or ask from others. Otherwise I will only use my time responding and keep in track with back and forth comments with others. There are many discussions need to be answered in my email box now~

Hi PQ And Jlyn~
Even if others might write things you want to say it does mean you can't stick and mentioned about it again. Come up with an extra points which is relevant or link it with your experience then it will be totally your own point of view~
I would rather read the whole topics that I don't know much than putting my own points to it which might be irrelevant to it. I am sure all starters ask for useful information not just hi, hello and agree/disagree word~

I hink that is when we should respond. When we have something to add to the discussion. If there is a discussion about taxes or whatever, I probably wouldn't respond because I would have nothing to add to the discussion.

Hi surekharathi
I can go months without starting discussions as they are many here that if I were to start many for me they would be like duplicating. There really is no rule that we have to start any at all.
My personal opinion is that when a member is limited with time, perhaps responding to others is the way to go this way there is no added pressure to have to comment on our own.
So basically I just go with the flow and make my time here as smoothly as I possibly can.

Hi there,
What I usually do is that if I have a discussion in mind is that I will start it immediately upon when I log in, this way I can judge my time better. There are times I have started them a bit later then I wanted, but the good thing is that it is never too late to comment as doing so the next day or when we can brings it back up to the recent tab where many others can now see it and continue furthering it so the is is still live.

Hello Surekharathi,
If every myLotter started at least one discussion a day, we would be overwhelmed by so many discussions. But I am sure there are many users like me who doesn't start discussions too often. I haven't started a discussion for two months but this doesn't mean I didn't reach the payout each month.
I feel better responding to others discussions than starting my own discussions. But if I have something to share or if I want to know myLotters opinion on something, I'll surely create a new topic.

Well, I think there are more like us, Jlyn. I recently discovered "jumping" into others boxes and this is something interesting to practice, too. But I must have the right mood for this.

Hi surekhaji,
i also don't like to start discussions but like to respond to other's discussion. It solely depends on the person to person.I have sen many of the people they just like to start discussion & then don't even see what responses they got as they don't reply to the comments. Many of the members are there who post 4~5 discussions daily but don't respond to others so its matter of choice.

But sjvg, it is their loss. At least we have given our opinions for their discussions. If they choose not to reply, we can't help them.
They just don't know how fun it is to be responding here and there in one discussion. MysD is right, I am enjoying myself very much now.

Hi surekharathi, it's really difficult for me to start new discussion often. It would be double or triple or extremely difficult doing so once in a day I spend part of my leisure replying a few posts here daily. I'm very fond in writing continuous comment in topic I'm interested. Other than responding to interesting topics my another great interest is to continue the chat until there isn't any thing to share with .....

I only start discussions when something bothers me or when I want to find out about something. I do not start them willy nilly. I tend to respond. I do not know about duplicate discussions, as I feel that being afraid that someone else asked abut the situation is rather limiting. We each can see the same thing and yet say it a different way. Think about last summer and all those babies left in the vans to die. I do get upset when there is something that is bothering me or something that I want information about and no one is interested. In those times I go to the response only because then I am feeling like Russian Roulette. That is because I do not take things that lightlly.

You're welcome. I find when I start a good discussion, and there is no answer, I feel as if no one cares. For instance, I started a discussion about infertility and got no response. Either they had miraculously been cured or they really did not care about those who never were able to give birth after maybe one time. Those with secondary infertility. Then there was a discussion about the books needed to be a good singer, and nothing there. And a discussions about languages, nothing there either. I am sure there are others like me, who really want help in a certain topic, and get nothing.

I never face the difficulties to start the discussion because I am talkative women and I always try to find out the topic from day to day news, problems, knowledge, events etc. So I give responses as well as start discussion also. Thanks for your response.

No I don't start discussion everyday. I think if we have enough time to reply on each response of our discussion than we start discussion. It will disappoint me when I respond on discussion and I will not recd any comments. If you have enough time than start discussion.

For me, I don't usually start a discussion unless I want some member's opinion to clarify something out.Sometimes I got an idea what to start about but when I searched previous ones it has been discussed already.Any way responding/commenting to a discussion is almost the same as starting one because you have to respond back to members who commented on your topic, so respond or comment either way you feel at ease.

Maybe in a month I could think of one topic to discuss but sometimes when I searched it, it's already been discussed. Commenting/responding to a discussion is a bit hard too, because most of the time I can not relate to the topic being discuss. So I choose those that I think I can share my views/opinion to the said topic.

Yes friend I am also not started more topic. I am responding because I know responses is more important than discussion. Yes response and comment is easy rather than start discussion. Thanks for response.

Hi surekharathi
I only start discussions like once in a blue moon and only when I need an opinion about something. And when someone has responded to my discussion, I would go back and comment back. And even after that, I would still check back on my discussions to see of any new comments are being posted (since we don't get a second notification in our inbox).
But most of the time, I prefer to respond to other's discussions when I feel that I have something to say about that discussion.

To be honest, I don't really get to start discussions that often. I find myself more interested in commenting and reading discussions and responding to most of my friends' discussions here at mylot. You see, I get notifications on my emails and check on what my friends have been discussing in the past few days. If there's something that I find to be interesting, I respond to them. I'm not sure why I like responding rather than starting new discussions. I guess, I like it better. happy mylotting my friend.

Nice friend but if you are only providing comment and responses then why your no. is so less. I also like responding but discussion is also necessary because at least to know or check how many mylotter is pay the attention on our discussion. Friend why you are not upload profile photo.

You have a point. It's just that at times, I'm still finding it hard to start a discussion that is interesting enough. Maybe in a few days time, I'll be able to post some really good discussions. As of now, I'm okay with responding to discussions. I still can't find a nice avatar for my profile. I'm still finding my way here at mylot.

Actually, I haven't started a discussion in years. I feel obligated to answer every response if I do, and I'd rather not. When I just respond, I don't have to. I can respond to the discussion starter or if someone says something interesting, I can answer them, but I don't have to answer every person or keep track of who's responded because it's not my discussion.

I usually write responses most days. My interest are in that as I dont gain much from just starting discussions. Mine are mostly gained from this and not discussions. I am not even sure I gain from responding to my own discussions.

There was a time that it was my goal to start one discussion each day and to also respond to the responses that I got on those discussions. In addition to that, I was also working to respond to all of the discussions that my friends had started. However, I've not had as much time to spend on mylot as I used to and because of that I've not been starting discussions of my own, only responding to the discussions that my friends have started. Today was actually the first time that I've started a discussion in close to two months and I'm still doing good here and having fun.

I don't think it's a must to post new discussions for everyone, not to speak about posting them daily. I often post more responses than starting discussions and that's what I like to do more, while others feel like more posting new topics.
But something I'm starting to "hate" is that some users post many many discussions a day, daily (say, more than 20 everyday) and never come back to them, I think of those as spams more than discussions. Maybe I can cope with one at a day, but don't think that every member want to do that.

No friend I am not to do this I started one or two discussion only per day sometime no discussion only response. If I get good news, new ideas create in my mind then I start my discussion. Thanks for response.
