The mysteries of life that give me a headache....

I am constantly going through my life getting confused by statistics and facts that baffle me. At work today i was told that it is a 100% fact that if your parents do not have any children than neither will you. How can anyone know that to be 100% correct? Also my sister has three brothers but i only have two. does that mean i am adopted? my dad is deceased so when my mother passes away will that make me a 47 year old orphan? what age do you stop being an orphan? What rankles your brain? do you have issues that you find difficult to understand? No wonder i drink!

After reading your discussion, I think I need a drink. Hum no I don't wonder at all, I just read, hear and or listen to things like this then later I laugh as oh my why, think so much.

ROTFLMAO! I think that Ajk is lucky to have made it through that evening alive ... and I don't mean due to the "really romantic nature" of the evening. I am guessing that there were no sharp objects present when he stated that or I don't think he would have lived to tell the tale.

I am to assume you stated the right answer eventually. But I must remember that line the day my boyfriend asks.

i guess i need to think before i speak and then i won't confuse my self or get into trouble. my wife has only just forgiven me for what i said 10 years ago. we were sharing a romantic evening when she asked if i wanted to get married. i said yes. she said 'when?' i said 'when i meet the right person.'

LOL! You think that this is confusing? Well we actually worked out a scenario where you could be your own grandma (or grandpa depending upon your gender) without getting into any incestuous relationships. Now THAT was confusing!

LOL! I said without an incestuous relationship. I know of a father and son that married sisters, and we were working out the inter-relationships that resulted, since both couples had children, so there were sister/nieces and nephew/grandsons, etc. It was quite interesting and very confusing. I do not believe that any of them had extra fingers or toes, though.

cricky, that sounds like an everyday wedding on our little scottish island, where the postman married his mothers sister and had some lovely six fingered children who all proved very adept at the banjo but not so good at arithmatic.

So many things do this to me. Things become so complicated at times. But the thing that bothers me the most is racism.. That makes me so incredibly angry!!!

I hate the statistic thing. They are for the most part inaccurate I think. I haven't had anything rankling my brain lately but I am sure it is just a matter of time..lol.

stats can be made to reflect positively or negatively, whichever you desire, it is only a question of how you word it.

You are 47 year old. Your doubts are baffling me also. "Also my sister has three brothers but i only have two. does that mean i am adopted?" For one minute my mind stopped functioning. Then only I got the answer the third person is only ajk111. Interesting. Nobody is orphan in this world or everybody is orphan in this world. The new born child has to breathe himself. Nobody else can breathe for him. the child has to take food by himself. Others cannot eat for the child. that way all of us are independent and so no question of orphanage. You want to justify your drinking and take this as a reason. What has made you get into drinking is the way your parents would have conducted themselves when u were young. Also company in school/college/office/company. Dont regret now. You cannot stop. Consciously reduce. Keep more time for mylot so that you cannot drink.

You say that the additional $ you may be getting from mylot will help u drink more. I suggested u participate in discussions so that u will not be tempted to drink. have a good day.,

How can you have children if your parents didn't have children.. Surely you wouldn't exist. I think someone has been having a joke with you! _Derek

uh ajk just a cotton picking minute if your parents do not have any children then neither will you? uh they had you and at that time you were a child and they gave birth to you 100 percent chance here someone is pulling your leg or maybe both legs lol lol Your fun statistics have got my poor mathematically challenged brain spinning help help;oh my gosh you have to count yourself help someone urgh.oh my help this discussion is rankling my brain of course your sister has 3 brothers as you are one of them and you have two as you cannot say I have myself. Oh well I guess you cou ld say it bu t it does not make much sense, oh well none of this make much sense or aha nonsense. thats it.

Well honestly speaking i never think about such issues in my life, I mean its just a waste of time thinking about it, infact think on the issues where you can be more closer to God or how you can maximize your worship to God, See my friend when we think on the issues you talked its like of no use and also there is nothing such thing that if your ancestor was orphan you also have to be, God has planned each and every thing so wonderful instead of thinking on the past and reflecting things why not reflect on God's goal for you, he will surely be impressed by that. Sorry if i hurted about this to you, but iam telling the fact Dont wonder my friend be calm everything will go according to God's plan.

Its a wee bit early for the brain for such. All I can say is luckily both my brother and I have only 1 brother, which keeps the confusion down..I'm off to something less imagnative to ponder..Enjoy!

Was this confusion before or after ajk? Must be before because after, everything becomes crystal clear, the hazy eyes notwithstanding. So ajk, go ahead and have your fill and all the answers will be dancing before your eyes. Cheers!

Well the mystery that baffles me the most is what happens after we all perish.I guess this is a question by itself, but seriously just think about what we are and where we are in this vast universe.A dirt ball floating in seemliness empty nothingness that also seems to go on for ever.Even non believers in religion cannot prove with modern science what happened to create the universe. Also what was there before a universe. These sorts of questions really come to your mind i guess when you are spaced out or drunk but I still cannot believe the level of technically right now and where this reality of existence. is heading.

great question. and the most baffling of all as i think we will never find out until we die. but what a great discussion point.

Well, I'm pretty sure that it would be 100% certain that if your parents did not have any children then you would not either because you wouldn't be here to begin with. I'm guessing that if your sister has 3 brothers then you have 2 brothers and a sister and she doesn't have any sisters. There is a term, "adult Orphans" that is used to describe adults whom both parents have passed. There was actually a book written on it a few years back. hmm...I think you are just looking for excuses to drink??

You do realise they aren't real statistics don't you they are just jokey riddles.Firstly if your parents hadn't had any children you wouldnt have been born so you couldn't be their child and you couldn't have cildren. And the second one you are one of the three brothers thats why you have two and she has three if you had three brothers she would have four this is because you arent your own .
