Do You do this? If You have a collection of movies or DVD's,how frequently would you watch them? And if you happened to turn the TV channel and recognised a scene from a Movie from your collection,if you had the time, would you watch it through,or change over? Just curious!

Yes, I do this. We have a pretty good collection though we have not bought anything new in awhile now that we have Netflix.

Yep,netflix would definitely have changed the way people watch movies since they came on the scene..Having a list of Movies you want to watch lined up to arrive by post at regular intervals is a great idea..it obviously works for a lot of people as business seems good for them, but I'm still tending to stay on the fence for now,as paying every month for a subscription seems more expensive than an occasional DVD purchase..

It depends on the channel the movie is on. If it is on a premium cable channel , where it is uncut and commercial free, I'll watch. But.. if it is being butchered on a network channel,I mean all the good scenes are being cut or edited for t.v. I will stop the nonsense and pull out my copy and watch it.

That's probably the main reason I started collecting movies..being able to watch when it suits you,as it suits you! Not so much fun is spotting the "edited for TV" changes they make over the original uncut movie...

I watch my DVDs whenever I'm in the mood to see one of them. How often that is varies. But, if I happen to catch one of the movies on TV, I do sometimes watch, even though I have it already recorded. Sometimes I turn the channel and it's right at my favorite scene and I can't help but be interested, and since it's already on, I watch. But, there are times when I just don't feel like watching it, so even if I happen to catch it, I still change the channel.

That's the thing..seeing a favourite movie scene on tv and having time and the interest to watch is fun..you can just let yourself get drawn in..and sometimes it doesn't work out that way!

I have a few movies, but my roomie has LOTS of them. almost 2000 VHS tapes (mostly recorded off the air) and around 200 DVDs (actually more because she has lots of whole seasons of stuff with 1 number...) Do we watch them much? not really

Even though I've now got my VHS recorder disconnected and stored in a box,I've still held on to some of the tapes and Movies I'd collected..I'd gotten rid of some of them as I switched to DVD...still don't want to chuck the remainder out yet, though! But if I no longer wanted the movie or whatever,it would be in line for my next declutter!

Yes, I watch movies on the TV once in a while. I used to be a movie addict before, going to movie theatres atleast three times a week. But, these days, with my job taking most of the time each day, I rarely get to go to the theatres. I could only sit in front of the TV.

You don't mention if you have a favourite Movie collection you'd watch if there was nothing on TV?

I have too many movies to count, my mum often joked that I could open a shop with them all. I also have the a large amount of cd's as well, possibly more than my movie collection.. but.. if one of them happened to be on tv I wouldn't miss it if I could help it!

Hi, Of course I watch movies I own (if they are good). How frequently I would have watched them was depending on my time and if I were bored or not. I'd loved to watch the movie throught if I recognised a scene from a movie i own.

Would you own many movies that are not good? And if so,why keep them?
