What do you do when you tell a joke with all the flair you have and the people listening to you don't get it? Like...'ok then' or looking at you expectedly waiting for what next...How do you feel? Or your audience is dumb enough not to understand your joke which was actually good. It might have been a genuinely good joke, if told to a more intelligent person it would have definitely evoked some laughter. Do you feel angry, pissed of, can you take it in your stride and move on with no hard feelings? What do you do next? Do you feel like telling another joke?

A good comedian well take any reaction and turn it into humor. I guess in that case I may feel a little silly but I will find a way to turn it around even if I ridicule myself for not being so funny. I would find a way to save the day. I would never take the reaction or another to a joke I say that is not funny very serious. I take it in stride. I am very careful about upsetting my emotional and spiritual balance and don't let too many things get me angry.

Hmm..ptower76...well said. You seem to be a really experienced hand. I agree, its really about the comeback, thinking on your feet, diverting the attention to a different topic, closing gracefully and even ridiculing oneself sometimes.well said
