Is Twitter the new "facebook"?

Hi everybody!
The iOS operative system for ipod/iphone/ipad users has been revelead.
One of the futures is Twitter integrated.
Why not Facebook which is the leading netside world wide?
Most likely because Twitter paid apple a lot of money to get best.
And I think they gambled right. People will of course begin using Twitter a lot more because its on their iP*d/iPhone. That means that facebook will lose some of their members. Twitter has also more new stuff than facebook and people want change!
All this is my opinion.
What is your opinion?

i dont think so. most people i know dont have twitter accounts maybe because twitter's feature is more on updating your followers about what you do and stuff like that but facebook has more features (for me).. so i cant say twitter is the new facebook,

Not sure but I've never touched it. I left myspace for facebook 2 and a half years ago and its all I need. Of course I am thinking the old facebook needs to come back. Idk I think facebook has what it takes to keep the competition going. Obviously it started at a really good time in order to remind Mark that the hardest part is over. Honestly there could have been several facebook type sites coming out. I wanted to do one 4 years ago but never devoted myself to it. Facebook seems legit though, of course it does need to actually pay people I mean look at all those dang games they rake in money from. But its only one way. You cant make money back. This could actually get a lot of people to leave I think but still Twitter has to put up a quite a fight to show its better than good old facebook.

Twitter is making an enhancement so as to attract more people. But I think that facebook will still be the "in" thing. People can also do facebook with iphone and ipad and as of the moment there are more features in facebook as compared to twitter. If twitter makes and upgrade,I doubt if facebook will not counter with another update. Well, lets just see what happens and ride along....

Well I don't know about that but if that maybe the case I dont think people who have facebook account would just remove their account in their coz facebook is still the best in mingling with your friends, relatives and family who are away from you. And anyway compare to people who are using computers, laptops, notebooks and phones lot of them are into facebook.

Hi sourcern, Twitter is completely different one and a very useful update news we can find on twitter. Facebook is a social networking where you can have chats and entertainments with friends, games and apps.

Hmm, I just thought that Twitter is ok because you can post every minute (or even every sec) your thoughts. Its a "shout" site for me Facebook seems to be complicated to be putted in Ipad with so many applications.
