MyLot should have FB-like features

You don't have to open your mail to know if someone has responded on our topic. You can use the 'started' tab above. All the discussions that youstart will appear there and you can see who was the last responder immediately. If it was you then you know that there has been no more new activity since the last time you looked. I am fine without any more alerts here.

I like myLot the way it is. At least there's no scammers posting on my wall, hehe! Anyway, myLot always sends notifications to my yahoo mail inbox whenever someone posts on my discussions and after seeing those notifications, I always delete them so that my inbox will stay clean. Anyway, finding discussions that you have posted or commented on isn't that difficult once you get used to it.

uhmm yes.. actually yesterday and even this morning when i logged in to mylot... i find myself looking for the like button. as i found this one topic created by another user very interesting so i wish to "like" the topic. and then oops i realized that i could actually do that if i rate the topic to a positive one. ;) hehe

I think mylot has its own beauty. I feel safe here as it has nothing to do with politics and direct attack on your profile. Here we take a decent subject and respond on it intellectually. Here we concentrate more on what is written rather than who has written it. Besides, if you go to mylot guidelines, you will see that there is already option of notification, which tells you by email, that your discussion is responded or new comment has been made.Even if you go directly to the mylot, you can choose, discussion started, or discussion responded, to check your latest developments. Well, I like it as it is.....I have no problem with mylot as I love mylot since last 4 years..

@geonelynn: Facebook features? Certainly will be handy, but don't you think we have "enough" of Facebook influence in our life already? Perhaps you can always know if someone already responded to your discussion by checking the started tab, like my friend mysdianait has already suggested. Also, I never opened any myLot emails regarding started discussion so I don't think any more alerts (which certainly will be "accompanied" with email notification) will help keeping my email clean and organized. Also, congratulation on your emoticon milestone. Reaching 200 points is certainly worth celebrating! Happy myLotting!

i totally agree with you. it would be best to have that kind of feature. i also dont check my mails often so i willl really not know about the changes of my discussion if i dont check it

For me it is the same like that you think it yes you might.

All you want action like facebook, mylot have also but in different presentation, read some other mylotters suggestions you can find more benefits to you on how to use and find your responses easily. You are comparing mylot to FB because you always using FB openly, here you can also if you will patiently find out the easy way...

i think this is really a nice idea. you can know when someone respond to your discussion because if you observe then you will find that there is number after your question when you start a discussion.this shows how much responses you got.if you have 4 responses and after some time you find that the number is increased to 5 then you can easily recognize that you get one more response. the real problem is when someone comment on your discussion then the number is unaffected and you can not know this until you open your email or search in the discussion section one by one.the second method i think may take much time so right now the faster way is to check your email. i hope admin get this message and do something to make it simple.

It def would help to have a notifications tab on here, so you could see replies to discussions you've started and/or commented on. =)
