what site do you prefer to use, eBay or Amazon?

I just want to start this topic as I know some information about the two sites? These two sites are two of the best shopping sites and currently is still competing? As what I've checked, Amazon is still leading.. That is according to the surveys, how about you?

Im using ebay a lot since there is ebay philippines so i get to sell and buy stuff locally. As for Amazon, I do check it from time to time to know the latest prices and compare it to our local prices. But I've never sold or brought anything from them because of the shipping fee.

yes, i think one advantage of eBay is that they have web sites internationally and so people from other countries can use this.

I like to use Amazon much more. I had bought stamps from Ebay once, however, I have never received my stamps. This is so disappointing. Ebay is sold by individuals, whereas Amazon is sold by a company. That means to say if you meet a bad seller, you are unlucky because there is nothing you can do. Amazon is a good company and it provides me good discounts in books. And the delivery is prompt and free of charge. It has a good service after sale. At least you can refund if you are not satisfied with the products you purchase. So this is better than Ebay. Besides, Ebay is complicated and the connection is not so fast. Amazon is fast and I can see others' feedbacks as reference.

wow, thanks for replying to this discussion. as a buyer, i understand what you are saying also because for eBay, it is marketplace, with sellers and buyers so you are not sure if it is a good seller.. but i would want to hear some points from sellers as well who are also buyers

I have never use Amazon before,I have view a few book that i want to buy their but the shipping is so expensive.
I buy all my stuff from eBay and i always get them,Ebay is the best.You just have to buy thing from top rated seller on eBay,an you will get what ever you buy.For me eBay is the best,and am still using it i bought a usb hub the other an i receive it last week.

I use Amazon the most. I get free gift cards from them from some of the sites I belong to and when I do I buy stuff either fo myself or I save them for Christmas. I have never had any problems selling or buying from Amazon. I used to use ebay, but there is so much competition and I would lose a lot on things I am bidding for. I tried selling things on ebay, but never have a large resposne. One time I sold a Nintendo DS and the person paid me with a fake money order. Luckily, I did not mail out the order before receiving the money order or else I would have been out that money.

I use Amazon more than eBay, but I do go on eBay if I'm looking for something that's too expensive on Amazon.

i shop a lot from ebay bec. i prefer local sellers to save on shipping. i strive for positive feedbacks in ebay.

I use eBay here in Australia. I've never used Amazon because I don't know very much about it. I personally don't know anybody that has purched from Amazon...
