Oh, it is right at 12:00 A.M. Father's day, Sunday. Too bad, my father will be busy tomorrow, I can't literally take him go out for dinner or something to celebrate it. But I already made it up for him, because last week, I took him and my mom to a restaurant for lunch, and I totally pay for it. That is at least I can do. What about your guys, would you take your father anywhere for lunch or dinner. That is our tradition for father's day, isn't it? At least something we can contribute to our father.

Yes you are right,Its a tradition especially to the Filipino Community we celebrating this kind of celebration just to remind how lucky we are that we had father who love us very much who are always their to guide ,support and give love now its the time for him to feel that they are special to us.I asked for dinner my whole family last Sunday. Then I saw how happy my fathers at that day..

I understand Father's Day as appreciating what your father had done for you and respecting their role in the family. My father worked hard for our future that's why I really love him. He even worked in remote areas just to provide good money for my family. He passed away six years ago but I'll always remember and respect his words, as well as redeem myself to him by continuing his vision for the family.

yes... as we know, we sometimes forget the father figure, just s lot of people concerned about mother's day, a day of tribute to honor a mother figur, it's ok but do not forget about our father's. However the father fiure in the family is also very important.
So, of course i celebrate the father's day, with other forms of proper respect and appreciation!

I was invited by a friend to his house last night to celebrate Father's Day in advance. I kidded him and the other invitees that Father's Day may just be another trick for us to part with our hard-earned income... Hahahah...
Actually, I prefer a celebration called Mother's & Father's Day or vice-versa, or Parents' Day, if there has to be a day in the year to celebrate. If it could be helped, children ought to be raised by both parents, and having a joint celebration will emphasize that.
Come to think of it, why not make Parents' Day an obligatory holiday, just like Christmas for example in Christian countries? Why not fix a specific date for it during the year? This way, both parents will exert their utmost to be with their families during that day. It is also another way for society and the economy to contribute to the strengthening of the family as parents do not lose their pay during that day if it happens to fall on a weekday, it being already an official holiday.

We all went out to eat yesterday with my step-father. My husband and I will celebrate Father's Day today without my daughter and his children. They choose to not be a part of our lives so we will make the most of the day ourselves.

I am more fortunate. Just met up with my parents for a short holiday. We really need to take time to treasure them, however we think they had treated us when we were young. I try to make it a point to treat my parents for a meal, whether it's father or mother's day.
