Setting myself free?

I have been rough on myself these couple of days until I understand that there's nothing more that I could do but wait. In this realization I concluded that being hard on yourself to accomplish something ends up into me feeling miserable and incompetent which I shouldn't feel. The problem was that I was such a push over that I didn't anticipate that there is nothing more I could do and with so much worrying I didn't use my time wisely and I was not productive; meaning no results. When you know what you need to accomplish and how to achieve it and had done all the things/actions needed then you just have to wait. With this process I set myself free of myself. The only person that will hold you back even if you don't let it happen is yourself. So any experiences being a prisoner of your own action, attitude or behavior? Better set yourself free.

Yeah I guess I can say that this happened to me recently too, when i had to go through something in my life and it makes me feel so tied up, like i was being choked by some devil forces... only to find out that i am not able to breathe because i am trying to withhold my self from doing the right things thinking that i need to be hard on myself and thinking i need to restrict myself because that is the only way i could recover... but no... Its not that.
I realized that when you learn to accept things that come your way, and you handle it with grace, and deal with it with forgiving and understanding heart - you would be able to get out of the situation with a not so heavy heart ready for happiness to come in.

yes. you really should you should not be too hard on yourself. there are a lot of things happening in the world. to people and even if we do plan everything step by step some external ffactors may destroy everything we worked so hard for in our lives.. all of us here do have connection.. we do have a lot of things to share with people who we think may not even important in our lives but they sure can change how things go about in our lives.. its only a matter of how we should react to situations and to things that happen to us.. be brave, be coward, be scared or to keep fighting and to win every challenge.

Yep, I've pretty much been there, too. When you've done something foolish, you'll make up for it because you'll feel the guilt of the whole thing. Another thing that can make you a prisoner is promising something to another person. If you promised something to someone, you'll pretty much try your best to keep your promise. This will, in a sense, make you feel like a prisoner unless you've fulfilled your word.
