This weekend I decided to go to Ideal Image Laser Hair removal, I have heard good things about them and they are also having a special for the summer. After being there and talking to the rep. I was still a bit spectacle about it. A few of my friends are also considering it as well. It's convenient and they say it has no side affects, and guaranteed for life. Does any one have any experiences or know of anyone who might have done this cosmetic procedure. I would like to get some input on this. Thank you all in advance!!!

I had that done once, but after I went through chemotherapy, the problem hair came back. I guess I wasn't meant to be hair free. I know that I can't afford to go through the procedure again and since I have been through chemo again, I'm afraid that it might come back again in the future and cause me problems again.

I'm sure that if I had the original paperwork for the work and I remembered where I was living at the time, I might be able to go back. I have been through cancer treatment twice since getting this done and I'm pretty sure that would negate any warranty the company might have had. I don't think it was the same company either. I don't remember much about it because it was over 10 years ago.

I am so sorry to hear about that, but I could definitely agree it is a bit expensive, I guess that is one of the things that make me double think about the procedure.

At Ideal Image you can go back for more treatments if hair comes back. Hair usually only grows back when there's hormone changes.

I love Ideal Image. I've been going for over a year now and it's been great so far. I have my underarms and bikini line done. Definitely take advantage of the summer specials, it's a lot cheaper than the regular prices. Each time I go, I use the numbing cream that they can call in and prescribe for you. This helps a great deal and you don't feel the laser as much. When you first go, you'll most likely be started off on a low intensity laser. It doesn't hurt, it just gives you a weird feeling kind of like someone is smacking you with a rubber band. Each time you go, they'll increase the laser intensity and it can start to hurt, especially in areas where the hair is darker and a bit coarser. Now when I go I'm on the highest laser possible. There are certain areas that hurt quite a bit more than others. Your skin will be red a day or two but it doesn't hurt afterwards. It's definitely worth it all in the end though. I would definitely recommend Ideal Image.

I have heard a good things about Ideal Image myself, but its nice to hear of someone with prior experience. I was told it wasn't that painful, and that it feels like a rubber band smacking you, I have also been told it feels like they are shocking you. Honestly I really considering it, I have another appointment next weekend, but I wanted to get some input prior to making my final choice. I have been told that the summer deal they are having is incredible as well. I am considering doing my underarms and bikini area as well, those are my two main concerns later on in the future I will consider doing my legs, but I want to experiment with those two area first. Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Ideal Image it has definitely given me a good boost.

Yeah the lower level lasers feel exactly like a rubber band. There's just a few sensitive areas that sting a little more than others. The higher level lasers hurt a little more, I just had a treatment last week and I'm on the highest setting. Definitely ask for a prescription for the numbing cream, this will help so much. It's a good idea to start with underarms and bikini, especially with the summer deals. You just have to stay out of the sun and not get those areas tan or else the laser can burn you. I really want to do my legs, but it's sort of expensive. I hope you decide to go through with this and good luck!
