My daily routine is I usually wake up around 5:30am-6:00am then I fix my bed.Around 6am-6:30 I cook for breakfast while cooking I am also reading my lesson at school. Then I eat my breakfast and prepare myself to school after taking a bath.If I don't have class in the morning I usually read some nursing books, playing online chess, reading chess books or researching in my laptop.Around 11:30 I cook again for lunch. After taking a lunch if I don't have class I would do what I'm doing in the morning.Reading nursing books, chess books, researching, reviewing some lessons and surfing in the internet were my activities after dinner then i sleep around 11pm.During classes I really have a lot of problem about what should I first do so I'm seeking your advises and experiences when you were a student before on how to properly use time and if scheduling of daily activities important?

My opinion ,daily scheduling of activities is important, but not enforced. I am a studet, too. But my daily life always at will except necessary class. I do physical trainings during about 5:00pm to 6:00pm.that is very suitable in the traditional chinese medicine. Setting up early is a good habbit, but not enforced either.Enough sleep is very important. So I wake up in naturally. As time going ,I wake up on time without an alarm clock. You can do things you like, such as with your friends ,looking movies, play balls, even do some part-time job and so on.After all, don't waste the time.

Sometimes I have duties in the hospital at 7 so it is necessary for me to wake up early.I know that enough sleep is important but I have really lot of things to do especially now that I'm already in fourth year and reviewing for the board exam is important.I sometimes play basketball with my friends and jog with them also,I also perform physical exercises 2-3 times a week.My life is so busy now that I have to use my time accordingly.

I don't really have a daily routine since I got to the call center industry. My night becomes my day and lunch is never constant. It's been more than a year now and my body seemed to have adapted really well to this kind of schedule. So I can't really afford to have a daily routine. My rest days even varies as well, my sleeping habit is also different. It's not I don't want to have a daily routine, I really can't afford it because of my erratic schedule.

I find your work/life as very stressful.Your night turns your day it is really abnormal for me but it's good for you that your body adapted it accordingly.Maybe you should have time for yourself to relax from those hectic schedule. It was nice to know your daily routine.

Hi Malingkata! What is bad about a Nurse is that you don't have a regular routine! And no regualr sleep, too. When i have a duty at 7am, i usually woke up at 6 by an alarm clock, have coffee, toast and a spread or egg, usually and sliced meat loaf. If i have afternnon duty, i will have a late lunch so by 2pm i will still be full before i go to work, but if night duty, i usually don't have any preparations then haha. You should have a style of your own to make all your activities be on set. Have a nice day!

I was a stay at home student so never had to take care of household chores or cooking! My mom was always there to take care of that stuff, while I just used to study and have good time. Even now I am working from home and living with my parents, so it is obviously different for me. But I can say, be flexible, don't decide before hand, that you will do some particular task at a give time. instead of deciding time, decide hours. That is say you have two things to do, A and B. Don't allot A 9 AM and B 10 AM but A 1 hour and B 45 minutes. This will be flexible and efficient.

I don't have proper routine either, but what I do is figure out what I need to do for the day. I have to think of chores and lists of things to buy (that I only need! haha). I notice that you don't go out much. I don't blame you since you're a student, but a little variety won't hurt. Go out for a walk and breathe in fresh air. You have to make variations to what you do so that your brain keeps working in different ways.

When I was still a nursing student like you, my clinical instructor introduced us in making a list of "Daily Planned Activities", we usually call it DPA. It's a checklist of the things we ought to do in hospital duties. It really worked out for me and the whole group. We were able to manage our time efficiently without wasting a minute of it. Until such time I made my personal DPA to defy my daily routine to that of my leisure activities. I actually made a list what time I should wake up, take a bath, study, have fun with friends, read books, even on the time I should sleep. It was a good start for me, it's like giving direction to where should I go from starting to ending the day without regrets. As the days progressed it seemed like a routine to me, however I modify some of the things I do from time to time. Weighing things out and giving out a sound decision for every activity that I do. Nonetheless it pays best to be SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bounded) to everything we do. Making a checklist of your activities is important to keep track of you day to day endeavor. As they say 'Time is gold'... so we should make the best of it from the moment we rise up to the moment we tuck ourselves to bed and close our eyes to sleep.

When i was a student i disciple myself. I would prioritize what i have to do specially when it comes to studying and doing assignments. I would usually do my assignments first when i get home. That way, i will not forget them. After i have done with studying and all related activities to my study, it's then that i get to do my personal activities.

Well, I just finished my graduation so I'm just sitting at home pretty much, thinking about what to do with my life next :) I wake up very late in the morning (I'm a girl, and waking up late here in India is considered a bad habit for a girl, lol.) Then brush teeth and all that, eat breakfast that mom made, talk to my boyfriend all day long on phone, while having my lunch and dinner too. I read books too. Then nothing much, watch some TV, and then go to sleep. Very laid back huh :) P.S. If you list your whole routine here about when you get out and all, someone could rob you! You better change your routine :) As for me, I'm at home all day :)

My school life was even more strenuous than yours. I used to wake up at around 5 Am, prepare my breakfast as I go take my morning shower, quickly taking my morning meals in preparation for school. School timetable used to start at 6:45 Am, that means no time to review my previous day's lessons. After school, my routine continuous from doing homework to preparation of my evening meals then night study till 00:00 Am time to sleep. That was the cycle i used to have those days. Now, I have difficulties controlling my already accustomed machine like mind, I advice you not to take into my roots of destruction. Its better you change somethings in you daily routine as long as it won't affect your learning process.
