I do have a neighbor here who's very kind and helpful towards other people. He is so charitable that he even manage to give the last and least food though he got nothing to eat. His being generous was really known in our place. But then one day, left alone with his youngest kid, he almost killed his child thru punching and kicking because she won't stop crying. How come he end up doing this to his daughter? what is your opinion?

I have watched the same thing happen on a television series and in the news. It is what you call a psychologically incapacitated father. Who in his right mind would hurt his own child? It is a matter of tracing what happen to his childhood that he has to punish his own kid.

It's hard to understand this man's behavior,I guess he has serious mental problems;I suppose that he is by nature a kind man,but his troubled mind makes him lose his temper sometimes and be capable of committing terrible acts of violence.I feel sorry for the poor child and I think that man should be investigated by psychiatrists before something awful happens.

Maybe he has split personality.
He can be kind and generous with other people, but evil to his loved ones.
I guess he needs some professional help...
and must be done before things become worst.

I guess that's his skeleton in his closet. Everyone has one. Seriously, some people can snap so hard you wouldn't know him anymore. I know someone who's kind of like this. He's very giving usually but one time he almost snap someone's neck off just because his foot was stepped on accidentally. If we have to be careful of people around us, the extremely nice ones should be the types you should take note of first.

Ouch! What a bloody %&$**%%$!!! I hope Child Welfare gets involved and either takes his daughter away or get him into some anger management program. Sadly, people nowadays lead double lives, I know my husband does and his father does as well. It's pitiful. (My husband is a lot better than he was before, though, thank heavens).
My opinion? This guy needs help with some anger issues or whatever happened to him in the past that causes him to react this way.

Call it hypocrisy . There are people like him , who wants people's praises but in the reality they do not deserved even a fraction of it. He should be treated in a mental clinic because it's abnormal thing to be generous with other people when you are not inside your own home.Generosity must be practice first at home and with your immediate family. Sharing with others and leaving nothing for your family is an act of foolishness.

I really don't know how to react on this one. People do some crazy stuff that they never thought hunt them down. I'm sure he is sorry for what he did. But whatever his reasons are, only God could judge him. It's just sad that he didn't lived up to his kindness whether kin or not.

I think that man is psychologically imbalanced. Imagine being so kind and generous, yet look what he had done with his daughter. He must be out of his mind, almost killing his child.
