what does happy mean?

For me, happy means when you feel love or be loved...its simple... because when you love something or someone.. you are happy and feel alive! =)

For me you will get it by preaching the good news of the kingdom but you cant discover it if you are not one of Jehovah's witnesses.

Hi Chum and welcome to my lot. Happiness to me comes from within. Happiness and content don't mean the same thing to me either. I am happy when I learn something new about Gods word that I can share with someone else. Happiness is waking up the sun shining and my husband sleeping soundly knowing God will make it a good day again. Happiness has to come from within our own life. Content to me means that it isn't what I wanted but it will do. I don't want to settle for anything and the only way I can get happiness is to do Gods will each and everyday of my life. By this God will grant me happiness in my life.

Happiness is whatever it means to you. for me, being happy is also being content. If I were not content, I couldn't be happy. But if I am happy I am also content. I am content to live my life a certain way... I am also happy to have the love of my family, and with all that I am content. Happiness comes from chemicals in the brain. When you have enough dopamine you feel good .. you feel happy. There are other chemicals like norepinephrine and some others that also have to do with the emotion of happiness.

In my opinion, they are somehow related but not the same. Human as we are, we are rarely contented about anything. We always want something more. My example would be a person working for the best salary there is and not looking for another job because Money-wise and Stability-wise, he is contented and secured;who wouldn't if you are rich? but can you tell if he is happy with his job through how contented he is? He could be doing his job just for that but he loved doing something else and that's where he is happy.For me, being satisfied or contented would mean feeling the sense of security. Happiness on the other hand is being just happy. If you are happy then you'd feel contentment all the time. But it does not happen vice versa, Contentment does not always mean happiness. There are a lot of 'happiness' in this world but I can only portion them in two: Short term and Eternal, or simply saying Earthly and Spiritual. Humans are made of both flesh and spirit and not just either, so if I were to choose, which of this two should I fulfill? then in the end, happiness of both can only be possible if I choose the one that would last longer.take care!

Happy means, you are contented on what you have in life and career. We have different opinion what is the meaning of happy, however other people don't know the word happy. Big or Small Things can make us happy. It's just a matter of life.. We just need to enjoy everything what we have in life so can be happy.. :) Happiness can't buy.. Remember...

hello, happiness is a feeling of being happy. It is when you get what you want , or when you feel that somebody cares for you. You feel happy when you were able to help others, the needy, the elders. You are happy when you got high grades in school. You are happy when you see your crush and smile at you. That is being happy. All i can say Chum , be happy always.

Happiness can be many things. In a marriage, happiness means that you are satisfied, and you have no worries, and you have no pain, or emotional strain while you are still married. In life, your parents happiness is the emotion that they are proud of you because something you had done, or an achievement you promised to make. That is my examples of happiness in life.

for me happiness depends on one's person perspective and feeling. it varies on different situation. it depends on how can you say you are happy. for me real happiness is when you achieve, done something with no regrets and no buts and that's what we call contentment so for me happiness goes with contentment. because how can we say we are happy when we are looking for more or we want more than for what we have done, achieve or for what we have.

see from my point of view you can not define happiness coz for single person happiness chanegs with different thingz.for some people money is happiness and some feel happy by getting love so you can not say wat hapiness.

Hi chum, In my opinion happiness means good emotions like you righlty said when you see your parents you feel happy.There can be as many instances when you have good emotions which causes happiness.

Happiness means different things for different people.What makes you happy changes according to your level of maturity.A child can be happy if he receives a new toy or candy.Teen-agers maybe happy if they will see their crushes or make good grades.Professionals will be happy if they have a good job, a promotion or a bonus.Married people can be happy if they have a harmonious family relationship or a having a baby.Elderlies may be happy if you pay them a visit or if their children are having good living condition.... I agree that happiness is synonymous with contentment no matter what maturity level you're in.A very rich, successful, handsome man will be never happy with all the stuffs that he have as long as he is contented with it.
