adsense triond earning is very low

Hii I am wondering what happen with my adsense. What actually the rate of adsense PPM. My visitor is around 700 but the earning not even $0.5 from the ppm.What happen with this do i make mistake or it just the way it should be ? It just supported by the earning from PPC. Hope to get better income there
