Hello bunso!
It's nice to know that you have plans on saving money now bunso, happy for you! Problems will for sure pass by bunso so don't worry too much about it,you're young..enjoy life!
How I save money..I oblige myself to save money every month bunso as I always recieve my remittance every month, lol! You can oblige yourself by saving money with your daily or weekly allowance bunso. For example in a day,you can save P10-P20..that will be P50 or P100 in a week. Saving small amount a day will give you big savings in time. But don't deprived yourself from food you want to buy bunso, you deserve to eat, lol!
Take care!

You can save by prioritizing your needs over your wants.Buy only what you really needed.Compare prices in the market, buy good quality products even if it has higher price if you use it frequently and for longer time.Don't eat outside, cook for yourself. If you can do something do it yourself to avoid additional payment for laundry, housekeeping, or cooking.Avoid buying gadgets which loses their market value over time like cellular phones. If you have to travel short distances, try to walk instead of commuting;it's a good form of exercise too.

That are few ways, another one is don keep too much cash.Just enought for few days, and only withdrawal when required.Don not visit supermarket unncessary and buy unnessary stuffs which mean no window shopping and such.Insted go walk in the park and such.Put money into envelopve to control spending like money for bill, money for foods , money for rents. Only 1 entertainment per month.

Like time you have to know where to spend your money.
Well, I would agree with some of the comments here saying you should spend on what you need. That basically is the rule now. But the thing is do we know what we need?
So know what you really need and budget what you have on what you need. Savings shouldn't be optional, it should be compulsory (if possible, I'm saying this to myself too)... We tend to think that saving is just optional, if you have extra, etc... But the thing is we should look at savings as a need, as part of the BUDGET not with extras. Because most often than not, we don't have extras.
I believe I should tell these things to myself too. So Cheers for saving up! Good luck my friend! see ya around.

my lady,
You can save if you want, but do not deprive yourself from things that you need necessarily okay.
I remember when i was still studying...i save more by "not eating"..and it gives me ulcer problem..
So avoid things that will harm you just because you want to save more.
Study hard my dear..and good luck

Hi my lady,
Thanks for the tips! Of course, I won't deprive myself just to save money. Life is more important than money!
Our body is our very own capital in any businesses we make, right?
So, I'm actually not skipping any meals.. Believe it or not dear, my mom would love to see me eat 5 times a day.. and I'm not getting fat! HAHAHAHA.. Which is a good thing!
About the eating stuffs, I don't just buy any foods everywhere.. Even if I'm already in college, my mom will always put some foods she made in my bag, which is really sweet! :D

In order to save, one must first simplify their needs. Once you have simplified them, make it a point to prioritize your needs. And in buying your needs, they need not be of expensive brands, but should also meet the normal standard.

Wow that is a really nice thought you have there. I should be saving up some too but since most of my friends are going back to their hometown for the summer vacation and all the farewell parties and buying gifts have been taking up all of my money . I had some things to buy but I guess they'll just have to wait till I earn some of my own money. I seriously need to find a job this summer coz I'll be done with school yaayyy!!

Hi thatgirl,
Yea, I just realize it when I started college few weeks ago. We have lots of projects and requirements and I know my parents are really annoyed of me always asking stuffs!
That's why the every allowance they give me now, I keep it and will just spend it if its really needed!
Wishing you some luck to find a job! :)

I have the same problem as you do, honestly. I have been working for 2 years now and it seems I have no savings yet.
What they said are true; just focus on spending your money to the things that you really need. I got a tip from a colleague and I want to share it with you because it does work for me:
A few days before your pay day (or if your expecting any money), list down first all the things you need to pay (let's say your groceries, house rent, phone bill) and compute for how much that would be. Then below just write thing you want to buy (let's say 1 pair of shoes). All the rest, keep it. Hide it somewhere, put it in a piggy bank, whatever. Atleast, you're able to pay for everything that you need to and keep the rest as savings. Hope it works for you too as well.

There are a lot of ways to save. You can start to recycle some of the left pages from your notebooks and sew it. I do that every year and my daughter love to use it. Load your cellphone every other day, I know it is hard to do but it would be practical also to text only someone if it is really important. Don't eat out, just bring your own food and water.

Hi Ate abatencila,
I don't really reload my phone. I just wait that my mom until she reloads me!
Am not really a texter that's why! Even my mom gets pissed off at me when she reloads me and I don't text her back..
And my mom also always put those homemade foods that she personally made for us every morning! Sweet, right?

Best saving money is invest in to something worhty like buy house or gold. Each year, the value of it increase and resul more money. If you think about house while you collect cent by cent, it feels hard, but you can start it with small investment like gold or else. When you money transform to goods it will help you to not take it again and again. It's good way to save money.
