Anyone here heard about freelancer.com? I have been trying my best to look for a job online from that particular site. I was a member with the site 1month ago already and it made me so confused since up until now I have had an opportunity to find a client.Anyone here knows what seemed to be the problem? How can I get clients? because I do a lot of bids already but nothing happens.

well! i guess about the freelancer.com, if i was not mistaken it about finding a job abroad as freelancer it means you can go to another place but you need to pay, if you want to be a freelancer,if you're freelancer you can get any job or any worked in any country, you can have a choices...but for this freelancer.com, i guess you need to pay a big money to get your visa where ever country you want....

I used to use it but now have regular clients so haven't had to bid in a long time. It takes a while to pick up work there, especially when you have no portfolio to show and no feedback (which you get once the job is done).
It's always worth looking for bidding tips (there's a popular entry on my blog about this for Elance, which is the same setup). Basically, you just have to keep using your free bids for jobs that interest you and hope you get picked. Be honest, answer the employer's questions, provide examples of work if requested (though always use something already published, so you're not giving it away) and never ever use a template bid.
I don't remember if Freelancer tells you why your bids weren't chosen or not (assuming the employer bothers selecting a reason).
