Always trying to sneak in a little extra exercise at work since I don't seem to have enough time to do it all the time. I'm lucky we have stairs in my office and some of my coworkers work upstairs, so I make a point to try to go talk to them instead of call or email to sneak some fitness in. In fact I am trying to go up and down them more since I haven't been exercising as much now that it's hot. I also try to do stretches at my desk every hour or so, it is really helping me from getting sore and stiff since I work on the computer all day. Do you guys have any little exercises you can sneak in at work? Any more ideas for me? :D

walk to your office its kind of exercise. may be you should place something in your room at office, the exercise stuff. hence you can do exercise when you still working.

Everyone should do that . . . many people work at a sit down job - it's very important to get in their exercise to keep from being sedentary! I used to work in a darkroom (for printing/camera work), so I was able to get in some exercising there . . . but the ventilation wasn't good (all those chemicals), so I had to limit it. I did dance, so I could do ballet in there too - ha ha (ballet is good exercise - dancing is a better work out for me as it doesn't feel like exercising!). There were a lot of times when I was left alone at our shop, so I was able to get decent stretching in - I loved yoga and my shortcut version of it so I can do it at work. I'm a stay at home mom now - and it's hard to get that exercising in - but I try to "play" with my kids or take long walks with them . . . do physical stuff with them because I don't have much "me" time these days. Oh - and always take the time to breathe DEEPLY to get the good ol' oxygen into your system . . . when we're in stressful situations like work, we tend to breath short breaths . . . even breathing can help tremendously!

Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas at the moment. Most of my jobs involved heavy manual labor, which most of them probably exploited that I am a big strong kid. Their believe was the bigger and stronger you are, the harder we will work you. I never caught a break.

Why not do some stretching while seated in your seat? I do this simple stretching exercise to keep me fit while working.
1 Sit erect and try to put left hand over your head and reach for your right ear, count ten and do the same with right hand reaching your left ear. This will ease back tensions.
2. If you have a work table, put your two hand against it as if you are doing a push up. Do this for 18 counts and for at least 30 seconds. This will keep your arm muscle firm and relaxed.

That's a great idea! I wish I had stairs @ my job. I make sure that i constantly get up, and like you, if i need to talk to someone or transfer a call, i walk down the hall. I make sure to sit up straight, that pulls your abs in & opens your lungs for fresh air. You can also turn your back to your desk, put your hands on the edge & do little push ups...or from the front too. Drink lots of water :)-

That's a great idea. Stairs are great for a little exercise. I always use them instead of elevators. You can definitely feel a little burn if you have to walk up a bunch of stairs.
