Did anyone else see this yet? I went out to see it last night and LOVED it!! Lots of action and suspense and the teen actors were SO good! It was also very nostalgic for a child of the 80s like myself. I had a lot of fun at this, definitely recommend it for this summer! Anyone else go yet? :D

Yes it was a very good movie!
It was as if you are watching any of the vintage 80 movies like ET and in fact the movie's timeline was circa 80s so all the styles and outfits of the people at the time were recreated.
The alien creature in the movie (sorry for the spoiler) was kinda similar to so many monsters exposed to previous movie so it is not that exciting anymore in that aspect. But what carries the movie is the story and the poignant relationship of the leading characters.

I agree greanpeas, it was a great call-back to ET, the Goonies, etc. and if you grew up in that era as I did, you'd love it. Yeah the creature isn't that different but I loved the unique way the movie was shot and the perspective of the young characters. Still one of my favorite flicks this year!

I have not seen it yet but I plan too. My daughters and a friend went to see it and they said it was excellent.
