I know many Filipino members here knows this band, not really a fan of them but I remember 6 years ago people in our country are crazy about them. Do you remember their song Stay? Try to sing the song "Perfect" by simple plan while say is playing.....same freaking melody.... They were also accused of ripping off silver chair... Its a good thing they were not as popular as before.

This is so childish guys. I'm myself is a songwriter and one thing normal people should know is that songs uses a cycle of the same chords. We don't invent them. No one can invent them. We simply recycle those chords over and over again. It now depends on the notes and the words we use. And Cueshe (if its the band this discussion is referring to) is using the same technique as all song writers. Even the song writer of Perfect is also using the same chords as other musicians before them.
Here are two songs with similar chords.
Chris Browns - With You
Shontelle - T-Shirt
These two songs have the same chords in their choruses but are they the same? Of course no. They're two very different songs because of the words and the notes. I can only say that a song is a rip-of if it uses the same note although this is not always the case as some songs are sampling other songs.
Anyway, just passing by guys. :p

Apparently its not about the chords, its more of the melody, they got so many accusations multiple times I think. thanks for passing by though.

I am not a fan too so I am not familiar with their songs. If they were popular, where are they now? Did they disbanded and members now have their own group or still playing as one? Are they in the same era as Sponge Cola?

I think they were seen as a rival for Hale (a much more original band) because they were both from Cebu. Yeah they were the same era with Sponge Cola. I remember a time they were 1 of the most overplayed artist in our country. on a positive note, they have a following in Guam.

It seemed like they were not active anymore because their vocalist, I heard their vocalist pursued an acting Career in Cebu.... yes Cebu have a separate tv and movie industry.
