what do you think of the one child policy ?

I know that China has tried to have the One Child Policy. It has led to most ladies wanting to have a son and not a daughter. It has let abortions happen and some girls end up in orphanages. In the future there might be 30% females and 70% men. So therefore not all men will find a wife. I think that it could lead to misery. My home country is crowded with people and seems to be overpopulated. I don't think the government would be able to introduce a one child policy. Many people have a surprise pregnancy. I think it would be difficult to police. People would have a second child and pay a fine.

I think it is a really bad idea, the governments are trying to take control of every aspect of our lives and it will not lead to anything good. I think that you can have as many children as you can afford to care and provide for. As long as you can do it without any type of government assistance.

I think any policy that interfers with our civil rights is a bad idea!

To be honest, I don't like it and I don't want it. I'm 23 and have a girlfriend that I want to marry, and one of the main subject we talk about is have children and we've both agreed that we want more than one. So it is pretty stupid to impose a law like that. Also what about if people wanting children have twins or triplets, etc? Will they have to give the later one up? It just seems completely stupid to be perfectly honest.

I don't think it's a good idea. People should be taught responsible parenting, parents should know if they can really raise many children or not so that they will not be the problem of the government. For me, you can have many child as any as you want as long as you can provide them with all the needs in this world and they would not be added to the problem of the society.
