What makes a good friend?

Those 2 are indeed very important to have in a friend. In addition, I believe that a friend is someone who will accept you for who you are...all the positive and negative aspects of you. But at the same time, he or she must be able to bring out the best in you and inspire you. S/he should also be able to tell you your shortcomings to your face.

i agree with you but for me its the genuine love and care..even if that person dont stick with you i mean wont be there or you dont hang out with each other much like before, you still love and care your friend no matter what... and im glad i have those friends and im trying to be that kind of friend...

Agree. That's 2 important things from both sides, and someone who treats you like a family. That means a friend whom you can vent on and at times cuss at you as a last resort to straighten you out. That's a real friend...always around in good and bad times, accepts you for who you are whether you're an angel or an a**hole. That's just sweet and lasting...like a good family. I think need a good friend :( lol

Yes,a real friend is the one who will always be there for you,whether you are a champion or a loser.But sad enough,it's not easy to find a real friend.People around me are mostly phony,I find it hard to trust them sometimes.
Real friend is hard to find,and maybe that is why a good friend is so precious.
