Yesterday, my in-laws suggested to my son included an activity, which serves to activate the midbrain. I agree, if that's positive. But,to join the activity, requires no small cost.My in-laws are willing to pay the charge. In your opinion, whether the activation of the midbrain, it is necessary for our children?

What is activating the midbrain?
If it involves doing great in acadamics, I say all it takes is normal frequent revision of schoolwork.

by activating the midbrain, are expected to develop the right brain and left brain is more leverage so they can be categorized as a genius. Not only in the left hemisphere (IQ, intellectual), or right brain (emotional, EQ) but also in 'Loving Intelligence'. They are individuals who are balanced and loving others as the creator loves him.

O that sounds pretty big. My sister in law has once done something that put us in sort of in her debt. Although she is nice enough to sort of never mention it, my husband (her brother) feels it his duty to forever repay her.
He showers her and her family with gifts every few years. To be honest, I dun feel indebted already but I dare not say anything.
If the situation is comfortable to you, that is you are in very good terms with your in laws, then i dun see why you should not agree to them paying for it unless like me you dun feel too comfortable about them paying.
If you have doubts about the program itself, do thorough research and if it makes you uncomfortable, go with your gut and stand your ground.

And to answer your last question. I wont put my children to such activity only because I cannot afford it. For me if one were to get one, the others have to get one too and there is no way I can pay for the three of them.

Activate the midbrain? Exactly where would that be? This sounds like a silly way for someone who has little knowledge of the brain to swindle money from the unsuspecting. But then again, any activity which stimulates any part of the brain can be positive. What exactly is this 'midbrain' activity? I have personally been through some very 70's touchy feely stuff that did no harm. Then again, some of it was not so positive. I was over 18 so had more discernment about this kind of stuff. A young person does not have that level of understanding. I would check this out very carefully before agreeing let your son attend.

I already asked, to some parents, whose children have joined the activation of the midbrain. They said the children's achievement be improved after following the activation of the midbrain. During this, my child has difficulty in understanding the lessons. And I feel, my child need to be followed.
