Why is everyone on Facebook??

i mean where has real socializing gone, why is everyone so addicted to this site?
why cant people just meet like old tyms and have fun and share thoughts, and whats with people trying to add people as friends who they dont even know and then they call it a random add , i mean what sense does that make.

That's the negative side of communication technology. People have been so dependent on it that they don't bother to go anywhere than the computer.
Still, it's beneficial to some especially those who are separated by a great distance. It's also a good help for meetings and set-ups since almost everyone today uses facebook.

that is also there but wasnt this all possible before also with the ues of email and chat messengers , agreed that it has advantages but the disadvantages by far take over the adv.

No, people are easily bored with emails and chat messengers....think about yourself chatting for the whole week. Wouldn't that be boring?
People, especially Asians, prefer to do a lot of things rather than a single one in a certain time interval. I've heard the term in my Management class but I forgot what it was.

agreed that ill get bored with email and messengers but the point is why do people take the social networking thing to the extent i mean use it in moderation why do u have to overuse this technology that v got

I think its because in Facebook you can easily connect with your friends and families even they are in far places.You can also make new friends there but it has also some disadvantages.You can communicate with your friends as long as they are also online and some guys also search some ladies there in Facebook.You can also share some videos,other sites,knowledge,pictures and other pages which you can update about a certain person or event.One of the disadvantages is what you have said that people would add you as a friend even if they do not know maybe there just bored or maybe they are just want to have a lot of friends there in Facebook.I have hear that a person was killed by a man which he had known in Facebook and he was killed when they meet once.

hmmm i dint hear about that last part , but that does sound horrible . the disadvantage im talkin about is wasting your whole time on that site when you can rather go out and meet some friends and have much more fun

Yes, I don't understand that too. It's a lot more fun to meet people in real life and do some real things. But, these days, it seems that everyone prefer to talk with others online. Also, I think that everyone today are so busy that don't have time to go out as the old days.
I hate when strangers add me, I don't know why they do that. The worst is when they add and they don't say anything to you. They only do that because they want to popular, at least in the online world.

i swear thats exactly what im talking about , they simply add you just to increase their friend number , and then they totally forget about you,
