Lost dreams.

As I lived a bit of life, I've come to realize that there are things that happen unexpectedly, for better or for worse. And I realize that there are dreams that I've created as a novice in life that have been left behind as just a dream. What about you, have you ever had to give up a few dreams to keep up with your realities or maybe for a better (or worse) dream? Why were they never accomplished? Or is it just on hold, like a few of mine?

I don't think that we really give up our dreams..they just mature over time depending on where we travel in life. Some dreams are better left behind because maybe as we get a little older..we realize that it wouldn't have been the best. Now if it is a dream that you still have..I say pursue it relentlessly. There is no time like the present for those.

Well, I guess I could say now at this time in my life that all my dreams have been left behind. It's more like my life has been left behind. I still try to keep my mind dreaming so that I can move forward in life. I guess I still think young and I feel thats a good thing. I know deep down that I probably will never achieve any of my dreams but I just keep dreaming.

I have always been a writer. But as married life took me over and a job took most of my time I didn't think I would ever have time for my writing again. So I made a concious decision to get rid of a big box full of expensive books I had collected over my life. I could just kick myself. Now that I am retired, no longer married and back at my writing I sure wish I had those books!

Most of my dreams from a younger age have slipped away, I realize that what I really wanted has been gained and the rest were just not meant to be.

I do have a few dreams that I had no choice but to finally give up on. But then there are some that I really do not know if someday they will be accomplished but I will not give them up. So to speak yes they are on hold but it is because life right now is not allowing me to be able to accomplish them.

I had dreams behind me... i never loose them. however, i get tired sometimes. I take a little step forward each time. I am full of hopes that my dream will come true someday if i work hard to pursue it..

We all have dreams, big dreams and small dreams, possible dreams and impossible dreams. Now what we do to take action in making those dreams come true depends entirely on us. For me I've had a few dreams, but you know what makes my life better than my dreams? -its real.

When I was a child I dreamed of being and arstist, an actress, or a fashion model/designer. But I never get to realize those dreams. My mother "brainwashed" me into becoming a doctor and so this is what I am today. But I never regret that she got to me into this career because Im reeping the fruits of my hardwork for all those years. I may not be who I dreamed I would become but this is so much better. Still it proves that mothers know best.
