Now today I joined Associated Content because it's through Yahoo so is definitely a safe site and I've heard good things about it. But I also want to know a bit more now. How much can you expect to be paid working there? What are some tips for increasing traffic and generally earning more. Is Associated Content a good website to work with in terms of sheer earnings?

I have been working for Associated Content for over five years now. It is a great site, and one that earns me the most money each month. I get anywhere from 18-28 dollars a month in page views. This has earned me several rewards such as the top 1000 for 2009 and for 2010.
I remember one week I made over three hundred dollars with them. The amount of money you earn really depends on how much time you put into writing articles for the site. Good luck with your writing.

Geez, that's really impressive. The most I've made in a month due to page views was like 5 dollars :P. How many articles do you write per month?
Like kolsti87, this story is very encouraging. I gave up on AssociatedContent a while ago, after they didn't frequently give out upfront payments anymore, but I just may go back because of this. I didn't know that the performance payments could pay that much.
Thanks, and happy mylotting!

I used to use Associated Content frequently, and it was my main website. They had tons of assignments that offered upfront payments, but after last year, that number significantly decreased. Almost all of the assignments that they have there don't offer upfront payments anymore, just performance payments, which pay for the number of views of your article, so I've stopped writing.
But the performance payments pay decently. Even after writing on that site, I still get a payment for a few dollars every month or so, doing absolutely nothing. So for only a little effort, that website pays pretty well. If you work hard and write many decent articles, I can see someone making around 10 dollars per month, minimum. Just make sure your articles are of high quality and that you actually spend time researching and working on them. Also, make sure you do the assignments, because they frequently reject articles because of their topic. If you write an assigned topic, then there is almost no chance that your article will be rejected (personal experience).
Good luck and happy mylotting!

I also want to join Associated Content, but it seems that they don't accept members from the Philippines so ... yeah.. Hahaha! I can't join even if I want to. I, too heard it's a great site for people who loves to write.

I actually worked with Associated Content before, but I quit because I didn't have enough time. It definitely is a good site to work with. As you mentioned, it's with the Yahoo! company, so it is definitely reliable. Associated Content usually pays on the traffic you receive from your articles, and sometimes it can be heard to receive a good amount of traffic to generate an expected amount of money. I remember I became a bit frustrated because I had written a really good articles, but it just hadn't received any good traffic from anywhere! But yes, if you are persistent and keep working at it, you will get more popular and receive more earnings from the company. I'd say it definitely is a good site to work with. I mean, you receive money while refining your writing and English skills. It's definitely a win/win situation, aside from the time that will be used. The good thing about working for Associated Content is that your articles can receive traffic from any date in time. Let's say you leave your article-making career but you've still posted some articles? Those articles will still generate money from the amount of traffic that they receive. So it's definitely a good site to work with. Try it out first and then see. It really depends on the type of person that is willing to work for them.
