End of Times

Hi Everybody, It has been a long time since I posted here. Watching on the news all the development in the Middle East a question has arisen on my mind which I think will make a good disscussion. This post is for serious discussion only. What does your religion say about end times, the signs, the prophecy's and of that what has come to pass. I started this discussion because I have read(Islamic) that Shaam(Syria)is where it will start i.e. appearance off Hazrat Ishaa Alayis salaam(Jesus Christ), Imaam Mehndi and Dajjaal the anti christ. I hope readers can post a list of prophecies from Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Hinduism.

Hello gurkha, I'm a Muslim and in the teachings of Islam there are many details about the signs of the day of Judgment, some of them were mentioned in the Holy Quran and most of them were mentioned by the prophet Muhammad PBUH some of these signs occurred in the past while some exist nowadays at present and the rest of them will occur in the future, I found this link very useful concerning the signs of the day of Judgment in Islam: http://www.allaahuakbar.net/important_issues_of_islaam/50_signs_of_the_day_of_judgment.htm I hope this help best regards!

Great site bro, but I found something disturbing on that site, the baseless accusations against Darool Uloom Deoband. Otherwise a great site indeed.

Thank you for the Best Response, However you don't have to agree with anything and everything written in a website, only what is related to the matter we discuss.

There are many in the Christian faith who believe that the Rapture, or snatching away of the believers is very close. This is because of certain events like Israel becoming a nation again, the ancient Hebrew language being restored, a particular interest in the Jewish Temple being rebuilt, the increase in natural disasters and wars and rumors of wars, to name a few. However, there are also certain denominations in the Christian faith that don't believe in the Rapture and say very little or nothing about the "End Times." Watching the various events of the day, I don't see how anyone could doubt that we probably are in the End Times.

just like what the other person said, in christianity, there's an end of time that nobody knows when... however, i for one, don't even worry about it coz i only have to worry about my own action and if i did all things according to jesus' teachings before i die... i'm not even sure if i'm alive when the world ends

Well the word of God clearly says that no one except the Father know the time. Even his son Jesus doesn't even know! When such prophesies claim knowing the exact time, they can be ignored! I recalled those the followings: - prophesy that told us that end of world would end in 1988 - End of the world in 2011 Where the ending? Please understand yes, the end of the world is coming on God's time table and we have to be ready!

Nobody on earth knows about when the end of the world happens. Only the fool get easily agitated and led to a believe of the prophecy spread by a stupid holy man called prophet, seer, magician and so on. We Muslims believe when the names of Allah cannot be heard anymore on earth, or no one knows who Allah is, it's close to the time.

Christianity confirms that the end of the world will indeed come but the exact time it is going to happen, nobody knows except God. God in His Word (The Holy Bible) has said these though : (Matthew chapter 24 verses 3 to 8) Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. I'm not religious, so I don't have any prophecies. Time is man-made, so I don't believe there is a beginning or an end. I do believe that the Mayans were correct about 2012. The planets will align and a new cycle will start. Some people have construed this to be the end, but it is not the end of the world, just a beginning of a new state of consciousness. I don't know if I would call this a prophecy, just a very good understanding of geometry and energies. I do not believe in any supreme being. If there was a Jesus Christ, I believe he was just a man. I therefore do not believe in any anti-Christ. I don't believe that the scale is good vs evil, but rather love vs fear. The only thing to fear is fear itself. This end of the world concept is just fear, created by and begotten from. People fear change so much that we often forget that often one thing must end in order for another to begin. Why do we assume that it should be negative? Namaste.
