As you all know Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is releasing this coming july. I have hyped up as this is the finale of a world-known 7 series phenomena. However i was wondering why take split up the last book into 2 different movies? Was it for money? Or is it because they are adding more details to the movie?

He was called the half blood prince . Because he was a half-blood obviously. Do you remember when you were younger you like to be called a princess and stuff? Basically its the same thing. He just called made up that prince part as his nick name. His not really a prince.

I guess the problem is that the book really is a movie and-a-half. The first part dragged, and really didn't need to be a whole movie by itself, but I guess the whole book as one movie would have been too long (or too confusing). I am hoping the last movie is better than DH Part 1, or even Half-Blood Prince, both of which were disappointments, in my opinion.

I am myself looking forward to this movie. I was actually very disappointed with Deathly Hallows Part 1. I really felt it as a waste of my money watching that movie in an IMax theater. I hope this last installment really lives up to the hype and also does justice to the last installment of the book.
Cheers!

I am looking forward to the second part of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. I think that one reason why they divided the book was that they felt they might not be able to do the book justice by simply making one movie. It is certainly a possibility as for why there are two parts to the movie. I do have to admit that there were parts of the first part that did disappoint. Overall, I did still enjoy it, but there were some things that I would have changed, or done differently.

But magic is lost to the the very young as they think that harry potter is a horror film due to the films' even darker tone and Voldermort's noseless face . They are really losing out on really good stuff. And want day Harry potter fans will extinct. Sob so so sad

The last book was so thick and making one 4-hour movie [a 2 hour movie would've omitted so many important details, which was important for those who have not read the book] would be too long and tedious for most.

Hmm well I think the basic reason to split it into two parts was that the last book is the most important , so to it shouldn't have been compacted to one single movie omitting a lot of details. Money may be the secondary reason for splitting as it is definitely going to be a superhit, anybody can think of it. So why not make the profit from the reputation and the name of Harry Potter. But for viewer whatever be the reason they will enjoy this I'm sure.

I think that there were two reasons for splitting up the movie. They definitely wanted to stretch it out and make more money, firstly, because that seems to be what Hollywood is all about! But not just that, I think that the last book was a long book and they maybe wanted to put in the extra details and not cut out as much as they have in other movies. It will be interesting to see when it comes out!!
